Ethan Miller (2024 OF, Longview, TX) roped a 2B down the pull side line for a stand-up double in the early going of this one. Took a strong BP yesterday and showed off the jets running a 6.50 60-yard dash as well; great to see it translate in game action as well.
Brayden McDaniel (2026 SS, Houston, TX) punching way above his weight class here as he stepped foot ont the rubber. Up to 77 working his fastball with some late tail to both sides, spinning 2400 RPM sliders with legit two plane shape with consistency for whiffs and strikes. Very impressive showing of athleticism and arm ability, projects in a big way when the size comes for McDaniel.
Anthony Fuentes (2025 SS, Dickinson, TX) showing off very clean actions short with quick funnels and exchanges to the slot paired with a big arm across. Glides in the six hole and holds down a premium defensive position with comfort. Found a solid line drive knock in the 8th inning of this one, getting on plane with a high fastball and driving it to left.
Micah Green (2025 OF, Houston, TX) smoked a double into the LCF gap in the back stages of this one, getting a center cut heater and creating some lift on it to one hop the fence. Contact driven swing with some adjustability present, moves okay on the paths as well as he stole third right after this.
Brandon Caraway (2025 SS, Cypress, TX) showed off all kinds of athleticism and twitch in this one, handling shortstop with clean feet and hands as well as a solid, accurate arm across. Not hard to project this working at the next level of the game; burner on the paths as well.
Chap Bandy (2024 3B, Houston, TX) picked up two barrels in this one, including splitting the RCF gap late and legging out a stand up double. Has a level path through the zone and has been on time here this morning, showing he can impact the baseball and work it to all fields.
Devon Castaneda (2025 SS, Spring, TX)- Solid three hit day from Castaneda here, finding a way to work quality ABs every time and get wood on whatever is in the zone.
Boone McLaughlin (2026 C, Houston, TX) had a solid two hit day, translating a promising round of batting practice into game action by showing off some ability to control the barrel and work it to all fields. Takes what is given, solid approach.
