6-Green vs. 7-Orange Game Highlights

Eli Iopa (’28, Honolulu, HI) recorded a base hit up the middle early in the ballgame. Quality bat to ball skills continue to be show with an approach geared toward the middle of the field.

 

Andrés Armenta (2028, Queen Creek, AZ) showcased intriguing stuff on the bump. The fastball got up to 77 mph with feel for a mid-60’s slider. Armenta also showed two-way potential with a loud triple and double to left-center field.

 

Kolby Hayward (2028, Glendale, AZ) drove a ball to deep right-center field for a triple and a triple to deep left later on. A simple swing stays short to contact, while a sound approach uses the entire field.

 

Izayah Najera (2028, Riverside, CA) drove in the first run of the ballgame with an RBI single to left field. An intent-based approach looks to do damage to the pullside and has shown the ability to do so during in-game action.

 

AJ Wida (2028, Kaneohe, HI) barreled a ball to the pullside for a base hit. A balanced swing and quality approach have shown the ability to consistently find barrels.

 

Nathan Ramirez (2029, Tucson, AZ) showed the ability to get on top of a fastball and line it into left field for a base hit. A linear path gets on plane early and allows for balls to be sprayed to all fields.

 

Aiden Garcia (2028, Apache Junction, CA) found a barrel late in the game with a double to right-center field. A clean path to contact and quality bat to ball skills make for an intriguing hit tool.

 

Teagan Reininger (2028, Brighton, CO) impressed on the mound. The fastball got up to 78 mph and paired well with a low-60’s breaking ball. Both offering showed the ability to miss bats.

Erik Lopez (2028, Sun City, AZ) showcased quality stuff during his start on the mound. The fastball got up to 80 mph with a quality changeup and developing low-70’s breaking ball.

 

Rylan Day (2028, Peoria, AZ) showed the ability to get the back head out front with a single to right field. A linear path gets on plane early with some bat speed present.

 

Kolby Hayward (2028, Glendale, AZ) found a solid barrel on a base hit to center field. A sound approach stays through the big part of the field, allowing him to stay on pitches well.

 

Izayah Najera (2028, Riverside, CA) displayed intriguing stuff on the mound. A clean, athletic operation stays under control and generates quality arm speed.

 

Jamie Justice (2029, Las Vegas, NV) found a loud barrel later in the game. A linear path allows for balls to be sprayed to all fields.

 

Teagan Reininger (2028, Brighton, CO) laced a ball down the left field line for a loud triple. Quick hands got the barrel out front, while showing good extension after contact.

 

McGuire Ryan (2028, Queen Creek, AZ) hammered a ball to deep right-center field for an RBI triple late in the game. Loose, fluid hands create easy bat speed and hints at plenty more power to come down the line.

Charlie Carter (2029, Heath, TX) found a barrel early on with a hard hit single to the pullside. Quick hands stay compact to contact, allowing the bat head to get out front.

 

Chase Fillman (2028, Buckeye, AZ) hammered a ball to the pullside for an RBI triple. A strong frame stands out in the box and can generate loud pullside contact often. Impressive two-way ability was shown, reaching 81 mph on the mound.

 

Landon Swinehart (2028, Buckeye, AZ) showcased the ability to use the entire field with a double down the left field line. Sound barrel feel allow for balls to be sprayed consistently.

 

Richie Lopez (2028, San Tan Valley, AZ) uses a strong frame well at the plate, hammering a ball to deep right field for an RBI triple. There is middle of the order potential with power playing to the pullside.

 

Luke Lambert (2028, Gilbert, AZ) helped create a run early with a hard hit single followed by quality base running. The mix of offensive ability and run tool make for an intriguing profile.  

 

Maxton Baracy (2029, Santa Monica, CA) found one of the louder barrels in the game with a base hit to left field. A simple swing stays balanced and keeps the barrel in the zone a long time.

 

Mikey Stortz (2028, Buckeye, AZ) drove a ball well into the left-center field gap for double late in the game. A lean build generates quality power with more to come.


13u/14u Southwest Showcase Batting Practice Highlights

Reed De Micco (2028, Mesa, AZ) put together a quality round on both sides of the plate. A clean, linear path showcased the ability to spray hard hit line drives to all fields.

 

Brilee Guidry (2029, Roseville, CA) features a compact build with the ability to find the barrel from both sides. Strong hands at contact generate hard contact to all fields.

 

Oren Tucker (2028, Phoenix, AZ) showcased the ability to drive balls with authority when in-sync. Good extension out front and strength at contact allow for balls to be driven to the pullside gap.

 

Chase Fillman (2028, Buckeye, AZ) consistently found the barrel throughout his round. A strong, fluid swing showed the ability to create leverage and drive balls well.

 

Brayden Moreno (2028, Colorado Springs, CO) put together a quality round, finding barrels throughout. A simple swing gets extended well out front, driving balls to the big part of the yard.

 

Richie Lopez (2028, San Tan Valley, AZ) displayed a heavy barrel with the ability to get it out front consistently. A strong frame allows for balls to be driven well pullside.

 

Andrés Armenta (2028, Queen Creek, AZ) had one of the better rounds on the day, consistently find barrels and driving them with authority. Quality use of the lower half helps generate solid gap to gap power.

 

Brady Webster (2028, Tucson, AZ) showed off intriguing power from the left side. A clean, lofted path gets extended well out front, allowing for balls to be hit with authority pullside.

 

AJ Wida (2028, Kaneohe, HI) consistently drove balls with authority during the round. An intent-bases approach looks to do damage to the big part of the field and can do so often.

 

Kohler Mobley (2028, Surprise, AZ) flashed advanced pullside power. Strong hands and quality feel for the barrel helped generate loud contact when the bat head gets out front.

 

Sean Ortiz (2028, Yucaipa, CA) found barrels consistently throughout his round. A simple, linear path stays through the big part of the field.
