Jace Ziola (2025 RHP, Elkhorn, NE) showed the upside to start the game running the fastball ( RPM) up to 91 and sitting 86-90. Also mixed in a high quality slider (2769 RPM) with feel to manipulate and could land in the zone early in counts. 

 

Blake Sarnecki (2026 RHP, Bucyrus, KS) showed the fastball (2003 RPM) that was 78-81 with some life and a good feel for the curveball (1969 RPM) with good 12-6 shape and feel to land for strikes at will. Was able to increase the depth and shape as the outing progressed and was able to get over top and pull it down well. 

 

Harrison Sikorski (2027 SS, St Louis, MO) showed the ability to work at-bats before driving one for an opposite field knock. Gets foot down early and keeps the front side in before a flat bat path. Simple swing with good hands and line-drive oriented approach. 

 

Caleb Hull (2026 OF, St Charles, MO) showed the two-way upside running the fastball (2004 RPM) up to 82 and sitting 78-81 with some natural depth. The curveball (1950 RPM) with 11-5 shape with depth and good spin to it. Impressed with the bat during both games with solid contact and a couple of hits. 

 

Matthew Gravitt (2027 SS, Overland Park, KS) showed the two-way upside on Sunday collecting another hit and on the mound with the fastball (2234 RPM) that was 77-79. Also mixed in an 11-5 shaped curveball (2286 RPM) that he could land in the zone. Also added an RBI double to right field. 

 

Chase Harrington (2026 RHP, Emporia, KS) showed good upside during his inning on the mound working the fastball (2157 RPM) 80-83 with life and some ability to miss bats up in the zone. Mixed with a low 70s change-up (1720 RPM) with good arm-side depth. 

 

Kellan Kennedy (2025 C, Moline, IL) got the barrel on one and hit it to deep left field for a triple. Some strength in the swing and works slightly uphill through contact. Has impressed all weekend with the bat and behind the dish throwing out a runner during game action as well. 

 

Jazarris Mackmore, Jr (2027 OF, Crete, IL) ripped a line drive into the left-center field gap for an RBI double. Strength in the frame with more power as the frame continues to add. Compact swing with tight turns and an athletic mover in the box. 

 

Dominic Stottler (2026 SS, Hampton, IL) found the hole on the left side for an RBI knock. Uses a flatter bat path with good bat speed. Impressed with athleticism in the box and a middle-of-the-field approach during his round of batting practice. 

 

Zachary Westerberg (2027 OF, Frankfort, IL) showed the two-way upside, producing a lot of loud contact in the box, including a hard line drive to left field and running the fastball (2118 RPM) up to 78 on the mound.

Nomar Garcia (2025 OF, Independence, MO) left handed hitter with a fundamental swing and an all fields approach. Consistently on plane and getting to the barrel with quick hands hitting line drives.

Jazarris Mackmore, Jr (2027 OF, Crete, IL) a projectable and athletic mover in the batters box with fluid movements and on plane swings. Stays short to the baseball with developing strength and bat speed and primary present pull side impact.

Mikey Watson (2027 3B, Steger, IL) showed a balanced compact swing with the ability to impact the baseball in the air during BP. Present gap to gap approach with a real feel to hit.

Merick Cooper Cothran (2025 C, Bentonville, AR) really impressed during BP today showing a blend of hit and power at the plate. Put consistent quality swings on the baseball showing true present ability to drive the baseball gap to gap.

Cale Fossett (2026 RHP, Roeland Park, KS) showed an on plane swing with real hand speed in BP today. Coils and fires the hands to really impact the baseball. Event leader in exit velo as well.

Matthew Gravitt (2027 SS, Overland Park, KS) fundamental hitter with balance in the swing and a direct hand path to the baseball. Controls the barrel and extends through the baseball well while showing an all fields approach. 

Dominic Stottler (2026 SS, Hampton, IL) showed some athleticism and hand speed at the plate in BP today. Quick compact swings and the ability to hit the ball on a line to the middle of the field.

Chase Harrington (2026 RHP, Emporia, KS) physical presence with notable strength in the swing. Swing that gets on plane and the ability to lift the baseball consistently. Big intent to the swings with power projection.

Game Blog Columbia Blue vs. Maroon

Jaden Micenhamer (2027 OF, Raymore, MO) got the game started with a backside knock to right field. Smooth swing and was consistently on the ball all game. Made a nice play in the left-center field gap as well to catch a line drive. 

 

Nathan Matoush (2025 LHP, Hillsboro, IL) showed off on the mound working 83-86 and topping out at 87 with the fastball (2167 RPM). Also mixed in an upper-60s curveball (1691 RPM), a mid-70s slider (1973 RPM), and an upper 70s change-up (1567 RPM). 

Brendan Wilkes (2027 SS, Riverside, CA) showed off good hand speed and bat-to-ball skills during the game and worked a backside knock. Rotates the lower half well with good bat speed in the swing. Flatter bat path with a contact-oriented swing. 

 

Caleb Hull (2026 OF, St Charles, MO) dropped a line drive into center field for a knock and impressed with his base running instincts getting good reads and jumps with two steals in the inning. Calm operation with a direct hand path through contact. Flatter bat path with natural feel to elevate. High baseball IQ getting good jumps and stealing second and third in the same inning before coming around to score. 

 

Cale Fossett (2026 RHP, Roeland Park, KS) showed off the tools all day Saturday. On the mound worked the fastball (2304 RPM) 82-85 and touched 86. Showed a big breaking curveball (1627 RPM). Added an infield knock and showed off the speed. Posted a 95 mph exit velo during testing as well. 

 

Hudson Powers (2025 OF, Olathe, KS) turned the hips and showed off the power upside, barreling one to the pull-side. Wider base before shifting into contact with quick hands and good bat speed. Works slightly uphill with the bat path and elevates well. 

 

Mikey Watson (2027 3B, Steger, IL) showed off with the bat working two counts before adding two hits back up the middle during the game action. Good bat speed with a clean path through contact. Whippy hands that do damage. 

 

Andrew Huxman (2025 OF, Hesston, KS) strides into a hard turn before the barrel whips through and creates hard contact. Feel to elevate with a slightly uphill swing path. Showed some two-way upside working the fastball (2017 RPM) 75-79 with life when thrown to the arm-side and showing a feel to spin a mid-60s curveball (2127 RPM) with 12-6 shape. 

 

Matthew Gravitt (2027 SS, Overland Park, KS) showed out with the bat putting together good swings for two hits and three loud pieces of contact throughout the game action. Clean stroke with some feel for the barrel. Flatter bat path with feel to elevate and works the whole field well.
