Batting Practice Highlights

5/18/2024

Tripp Hannah (2026, Yulee, Fl.) produced loud barrels over and over again, leaving the yard multiple times. The bat speed stands out and he showed the ability to consistently drive the ball in the air with authority.

John “JT” Costello (2026, Longwood, Fl.) exhibited good physicality and power projection. The right-handed bat has present strength and the ball jumped when squared.

Clay Eichlin (2026, Lakeland, Fl.) showed fast hands and twitchiness. The swing is line drive oriented and he peppered lots of liners to the middle of the field.

Terrance “Tre” Mireles-Roach (2026, Maitland, Fl.) flashed the ability to backspin the ball to the middle of the field. The swing is easy and the power projects, showing to left center and center during the round.

Ellian A Urena (2024, Kissimmee, Fl.) showcased power to left center along with quicker hands. The right-handed stick has a direct swing and drove the ball with authority to pull side often.

Matthew Midyett (2025, Tampa, Fl.) worked to elevate and did so with success, lifting the ball consistently. There is plenty of strength in the hands and the ball comes off hard.

Dylan Prince (2025, Doral, Fl.) pummeled the ball during his round. The shortstop went deep to pull side and hit lasers throughout, showing big strength.

Austin Liss (2025, Odessa, Fl.) produced loud line drives to left field and showed solid juice as well. He repeats the swing well and jumps a good bit.

Cole Bedenbaugh (2026, Bartow, Fl.) had a super consistent round, producing lots of barrels. The hands are strong and showed best present power to left center.

Nick Franklin (2027, Saint Petersburg, Fl.) exhibited excellent bat speed and elevated to the pull side. The swing is functional, and he swings with lots of intent.

Jehiel Gomez (2026, Winter Haven, Fl.) showed good rhythm in the box and a clean bat path. There is some whip to the barrel and he lined balls into right field with regularity.

Luis Vargas-Lopez (2025, Kissimmee, Fl.) showed a functional swing from both sides of the plate. The swing is direct from the right side and is leveraged from the left side.

Julian Braga (2025, Port Orange, Fl.) torqued it hard and displayed a fast bat, using the pull side and middle of the field. The ball jumps coming off and the swing plays.

Gabe Graulau (2025, Jupiter, Fl.) carried an impressive workout into batting practice. The outfielder used the opposite field with comfort and peppered liners.

Tyler Lomas (2026, Winter Springs, Fl.) worked to lift the ball and showed advanced bat speed. The left-handed bat has solid juice and does not get cheated.

Max Prejda (FA, Praha, PR CZE) made hard contact often and there is lots of strength at the point of contact. The Czech Republic native has impact in the stick and power upside.

Vince Ferrell (2025, Clearwater, Fl.) showed a fast barrel and big intent. The outfielder has excellent bat speed and it came off loud when squared.

Luke Shelhamer (2026, Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.) showed good strength coming off and repeated well. The swing is simple and functional with on time parts.

2-Colombia Blue vs 3-Gray Game Highlights

5/19/2024

Erick Robles (2026 OF, Lake Mary, FL)- Clean two innings of work from Robles to start things off this morning, using a solid three pitch mix consisting of his fastball (T81),  a mid 60's curve with tight vertical shape and usable change piece against left-handed bats. Filled the zone nicely and competed, attacked hitters with his mix and got good results.

Austin Liss (2025 OF, Odessa, FL)- Absurdly good and was in so much of a groove he would ask for one more frame than what he was scheduled for... just picked apart hitters with a cutter that sat 78-8, easily the nastiest pitch in his arsenal. The heater got up to 85 and he successfully changed eye levels with a top to bottom curve in the low 70s; he would strike out six in three innings of work. Florida State commit.

Alvin Santiago (2025 IF, Tampa, FL)- Lean and athletic prospect with a solid arsenal on the mound, would go two innings striking out four in the process. The fastball touched 84-mph and he could mix in both a curve and change to navigate the order. More in the tank here, loose arm and could see a velo jump at some point.

Matthew Midyett (2025 OF, Tampa, FL)- Strong/athletic secondary arm came on to close things out and blew it by hitters in the zone, good life on the heater 80-84 and flashed developing feel to spin the curveball in the upper 60's... two strikeouts in this one inning of work.

Tyler Rodriguez (2027 3B, Miami, FL)- Pair of hits in this one from Rodriguez, who follows up a nice appearance on the bump in yesterday's game with some offensive production in this one. Solid two way talent as of right now, ceiling to grow on both sides of the ball.

Cole Bedenbaugh (2026 C, Bartow, FL)- Hard barreled up single to left in the middle innings of this one... worked hard behind the dish all weekend receiving a variety of arms; 97 EV posted off the tee which is up there for the best in the class across the country.

Cole Miyashiro (2026 OF, Honolulu, HI)- Quality at-bats this weekend and has some comfort in the box, solid yes-yes-no approach with good swing decisions. First step quickness in the box and in the OF present, speed plays up in games; has multiple tools to like and improve upon in the coming years.

Jehiel Gomez (2026 2B, Winter Haven, FL)- First RBI knock of the day came courtesy of Gomez, who got a fastball in his zone and did some damage to the pull-side. Easily his best barrel of the weekend and got his team in the lead early because of it.

6-Red vs. 1-Black Game Highlights

5/19/2024

Carlos Jimenez (2026 SS, Boynton Beach, FL) has been really interesting here early on. Got the ball in the start and is working in the mid-80s with heavy arm-side life to the pitch. Also barreled one into the opposite field for a hit in the 2nd.

Terrance “Tre” Mireles-Roach (2026 3B, Maitland, FL) got a pitch over the heart of the plate and put a good swing on it, smashing a triple into the left-center gap. He put together a strong round of BP yesterday and continues it in game action.

Matthew Spina (2026 OF, Delray Beach, FL) barreled a ball in the middle innings into the right-center field gap for a triple. Fast bat and controls the barrel well, runs well too. He's also shown well on the mound pounding the zone with a three pitch mix.

Jayden Lombardi (2026 3B, Port Orange, FL) pulled the hands in and hit a double right down the left field line. He has a short swing with a good approach and has been on the barrel at times throughout the weekend.

Liam Harris (2026 C, Tampa, FL) found a loud barrel in the middle innings of this one, smoking a triple into right-center. He's a big and physical primary catcher with solid bat speed and impacts it well out front. He found another one later in the game with a double to left field.

Felix Jimenez (2026 OF, Port Saint Lucie, FL) drove in a run right after the triple on a hard hit infield single. Has been really impressive so far this weekend, easy bat speed and leverages the barrel well in the left-handed swing.

Ty Murray (2025 SS, Labelle, FL) put a great swing on one to continue a strong inning. He's a big and physical right-handed hitter with good bat speed and has shown good impact all weekend. He also hit a ground rule double later in the game.

Luke Shelhamer (2026 C, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) put a great swing on one in the middle innings, smashing a triple into the right-center gap. The swing is short and simple with strength that plays to all fields.

5-Navy vs. 6-Red Game Highlights

5/18/2024

Jeremy Menhennett (2027 C, Semmes, AL) showed a great mix on the mound in the start for the Red team. He punched out six guys with a fastball in the low-80s and went to a tight curveball often.

Brady Snow (2026 RHP, North Palm Beach, FL) really shined on the mound in relief for the Red team. The right-hander showed big time arm speed and ran the fastball up to 90 mph a couple times. He went to a big sweeping breaker late in counts.

Mitch Jans (2025 C, Clearwater, FL) got a pitch out over the middle of the plate and hammered a triple to center. He has good bat speed with real impact to all fields and put that on display all day.

Michael Senay (2025 RHP, Orlando, FL) is known more on the mound but showed a good amount of things to like about the swing. He showed some power in the round of batting practice and it was on display in game action too with a loud double to the pull-side.

Gabe Graulau (2025 OF, Jupiter, FL) was one of the louder performers on the opening day. He kicked off the workout portion with a 6.39 60-yard dash. He smashed a triple into the right-center gap in game action and also ran the fastball into the upper-80s. A lot of things to like about this profile.

Felix Jimenez (2026 OF, Port Saint Lucie, FL) put together some quality at-bats throughout the day and collected some loud barrels in the process. He finished the day with multiple extra-base hits and showed some easy bat speed in the left-handed swing.

Ty Murray (2025 SS, Labelle, FL) showed a lot of two-way intrigue throughout the first game. He had multiple triples to his name, showing gap-to-gap strength and also hopped on the mound and ran the fastball into the mid-80s.

Jake Diner (2025 3B, St Pete Beach, FL) got the barrel extended later in the game and smoked a double down the left field line. He has solid bat speed and real strength that he gets into relatively easily.

Vince Ferrell (2025 OF, Clearwater, FL) hit one into the left-center gap and turned on the wheels for an inside the park homer in the later innings.

3-Gray vs 4-Maroon Game Highlights

5/18/2024

JanCarlos Almenas (2025 OF, Kissimmee, FL)- Very good athlete with tools across the board. Took a quality at bat in his first of the game that ended with hard, barreled contact then in the next half inning cut off a ball in the gap and gunned a runner down at second base for the assist.

Julian Braga (2025 C, Port Orange, FL)- Physical backstop with juice, athletic operation in the box. Got a center cut heater and roped a bullet back to center, raw power shows up in game effortlessly and put up 92 EV's on the tee.

Noah Lemar (2026 RHP, Homosassa, FL)- Projectable '26 with a three pitch mix, up to 82 and mixed in a big vert 2600 RPM curveball with developing feel to land it and showed a change to left-handed bats too. Young face and look, chance to pop.

Katcher Streit (2027 3B, Belleview, FL)- Clean single to left field on an inner half heater, tight turn on time to get the hands out there and extended to create extension. Strong, physical kid and tested well across the board.

Michael Faucher Jr. (2026 RHP, Indialantic, FL)-Three strong innings from Faucher who pitched to contact and got outs while filling up the zone. Up to 82 from a higher slot that created tough downhill plane angle on his heater, mixed in 2400 RPM curve on occasion; strike thrower and pitchability there.

Jake Owen (2025 OF, Wesley Chapel, FL)- Pair of hits in this one for Owen. Athletic kid with evident feel to handle the barrel in the box, worked all fields here and looks comfortable in the box.

Sawyer Smith (2026 LHP, Heathrow, FL)- Two clean frames with four strikeouts from Smith, working in the mid 70's all around the zone and landing some spin on occasion. Tough lefty operation with some funk, filled the zone and attacked hitters.

1-Black vs 2-Colombia Blue Game Highlights

5/18/2024

Bennett Burke (2025 LHP, Sparta, WI) rolled through three innings of work, working his fastball from 79-82 T83 with run to the two seam, good CB landed at will and could work it backwards as well... quality left-handed arsenal, strike thrower.

Luke Ramsey (2026 SS, Orlando, FL) picked up the first hit of the contest, muscling a two seamer on the inner half the other way for a knock. Some quality swings in the at-bat, contact skills present and would split the right center gap in his second at bat then subsequently steal third. Ran it up to 84-mph on the bump too.

Matthew Villar (2025 RHP, Royal Palm Beach, FL) put in three quality innings of work this morning. Worked the fastball 78-80 N/S effectively and garnered some swing and miss with it, spun the mid 60's curveball in there during two strike counts and collected a swinging strikeout with it.

Jonathan Perez (2026 RHP, Miami Lakes, FL)- Real projection here with Perez... up to 84-mph on the heater and can mix in a two seamer with lower spin in the bottom half of the zone. SL has late teeth and can land it in any count upper 60's, great body here and has a real chance to pop in the coming year.

Kaine Ellis (2026 C, Brooksville, FL) collected the first extra base hit of the day, roping a heater down the first base line and wheeling around the bases for two. Quality at bat, good piece here. Picked up another knock, this one a barreled up single to left. Loose swing with a good approach and has feel for the barrel.

Tyler Rodriguez (2027 3B, Miami, FL)- Worked the fastball up to 83-mph and flashed the tight mid 70s curve once that produced a weak pop out. Quality stuff here and has some projection as a '27.

Ellian A Urena (2024 3B, Kissimmee, FL)- Good mix present, up to 85-mph with control of the zone and lived lower 80s with a very good curveball he spun up to 2450 RPM and garnered swing and miss throughout. Solid arsenal here, still uncommitted and could contribute to a program somewhere at the next level with this mix.
