Michael Doherty (2027 LHP, Brookline, MA) was the most impressive arm on the mound for the day. Striking out 8 in his 3 innings of work. The lefty ran his FB up to 85mph and mixed in a tight sweeping slider that had hitters confused all day. Also went 1-2 at the plate.

John Catanio (2026 RHP, Wall, NJ) not to be outdone, John showed well on the mound and at the plate. Attacked the outer half of the plate with his FB running it up to 81mph while striking out 6 in his 3 innings of work. At the plate, was 2-2 with a double and a single.

Jack Hermance (2026 SS, Queensbury, NY) threw well in relief for the Royal team. FB sat consistently in the low 80s topping at 82mph. Showcased a tight breaking slider that had hitters taking a lot of uncomfortable swings against it. Struck out 3 in his 2 innings of work.

Jack Dugo III (2026 SS, Colts Neck, NJ) pitching was on display in this game, and Jack continued that. Got a lot of swings and misses on his FB up in the zone that he ran up to 81mph. Struck out 3 in 2 innings of work showing good athleticism and feel on the mound.

John Rossman (2026 SS, Belle Mead, NJ) lead the way offensively for the Royal team going 2-2 on the day. The big hit, an inside the park home run, beating the centerfielder over his head. Showcasing great speed around the bases.

JJ McLaughlin (2026 SS, Glendora, NJ) was impressive in his 2 innings of work on the mound. Ran the FB up to 83mph striking out 3. Complimented the FB with a sweeper style CB spinning it around 2300rpm. Kept hitters off balance and generated weak contact.

Michael Olivadoti (2026 1B, Utica, NY) picked up an RBI single for Royal. Let the ball travel and going the other way, showcasing a line drive approach at the plate.

Davis Watson (2026 1B, Millsboro, DE) ran the FB up to 81mph in his 2 innings of work. Strong looking frame on the mound mixing in different arm angles to confuse hitters. Spun a tight slider up above 2400rpm.

Justin Van Alst-Mehl (2027 SS, Old Bridge, NJ) was 1-2 on the day barreling a line drive to right center field. On the mound, struck out 3 hitters in his 2 innings of work. Running his FB up to 78mph and complimenting that with an arsenal of off-speed pitches keeping hitters off-balance.

Hunter Mishock (2027 OF, Schwenksville, PA) provided additional offense for the Grey team lining a home run down the left field line. Showed quick hands and ability to get the barrel out in front.

Thomas Ingallinera (2025 OF, Hackensack, NJ) with a loud barrel for the Maroon team. Showed a good power profile and ability to elevate the baseball, beating the center fielder over his head for a triple.

Vince Cannizzaro (2025 3B, Yorktown Heights, NY) with possibly the loudest barrel of the day. Showcased the ability to elevate and pull the baseball hitting a home run to deep left center field.

Anthony Caruso (2027 1B, Bellville, NJ) with quick hands and a line drive approach, lining a triple into the left center field gap showing a good feel for the barrel.

Amir Cartagena (2027 1B, New Bedford, MA) put another good swing on a tough pitch, launching a triple to deep LCF, scoring on a throwing error and putting his squad on the board. Used a powerful right-handed frame to do damage to the pull side. 

 

Jake Anderson (2025 2B, Staten Island, NY) jumped all over an early count fastball, sending a ball deep to the LCF gap, launching a clean inside-the-park homer. Utilized his speed to fly around the bases with ease, generating a pull side barrel thanks to an athletic frame and operation in the box. 

 

Colin Szonyi (2027 OF, Florham Park, NJ) turned in a strong pair of innings, allowing just a hit, none earned, while striking out four. Used a FB up to 81 and a 12-6 breaker in the mid-60s, throwing them both for strikes. 

 

Dylan Losito (2026 C, Parish, NY)went three strong out of the ‘pen, striking out six, failing to allow an earned run, and giving up just a pair of hits. Worked with a FB up to 76 and a low-60s CB.

Logan Katz (2026 C, Londonderry, NH) put a good swing on an early count fastball, sending a ball deep into the LCF gap for an easy double. Used a clean and impactful right-handed swing to catch a barrel to his pull side. 

 

Owen Covello (2027 SS, Darien, CT) launched a double to the left-center gap, driving in a run to put his team on the board. Used a clean bat path and operation to catch a barrel and do damage to the pull side. 

 

Lucas Vamvaketis (2025 OF, Franklin Square, NY) turned in a strong three-inning start on the hill, striking out five and allowing just a pair of hits. Lived in the zone with a FB up to 79 and a quality breaking ball in the mid-60s. 

 

Dominic Haas (2026 RHP, Lewisberry, PA) failed to allow a baserunner over his pair of innings, running an advanced FB up to 86 with life. He also mixed in a low-70s breaking ball, which is a swing-and-miss offering.

8/18/2024

Thomas Ingallinera (2025 OF, Hackensack, NJ) put a good swing on a tough inside fastball, ripping a double down the left-field line. Used an athletic frame and operation to catch a hard-hit barrel to the pull side, showcasing some speed around the bases before the ball went out of play. 

 

Amir Cartagena (2027 1B, New Bedford, MA) put his squad on the board with an RBI double to straightaway center. He used a strong right-handed frame to power a ball over the center fielder’s head, legging out a two-base hit. He later ripped another double down the left field line to plate another run. 

 

Trevor Scott (2026 C, Lititz, PA) used a strong and powerful right-handed swing to send a ball deep into the LCF gap, legging out a triple. A balanced operation, he showed impact behind the barrel, launching a three-bagger to the pull side. 

 

Michael Olivadoti (2026 1B, Utica, NY) did a good job of sitting back and sending a barreled-up fastball to the opposite field gap for a double. Showed a feel to hit, using a controlled barrel to produce a line drive extra-base hit the other way.

Batting Practice Highlights

8/17/2024

Hunter Mishock (2027 OF, Schwenksville, PA) showed plenty to like during his round, as the right-handed hitting 2027 produced several line drives throughout. He stays compact with his stroke, exhibits plenty of present bat speed and has feel for the barrel. 

Ezequiel Cueto (2027 OF, Danbury, CT) used a simple, low-effort stroke to produce numerous line drives throughout his round. He created whip to his barrel, has quickness to his hands and has a real feel for the barrel. 

Jake Anderson (2025 2B, Staten Island, NY) showcased the propensity to find the barrel during his round, shooting several well-struck line drives from gap-to-gap. He has quickness to his hands, sound barrel awareness and some budding impact potential. 

John Catanio (2026 RHP, Wall, NJ) used his long levers to his advantage, while showcasing legitimate power potential and some feel for the barrel. He peppered the middle-of-the field and projects for additional power as he matures. 

Logan Katz (2026 C, Londonderry, NH) took one of the more consistent rounds of the day, while flashing power projection moving forward. He stayed behind the baseball well, created torque with his strong lower half and has plenty of present bat speed. 

Marcellas Preston (2026 OF, Millville, NJ) showed huge power potential during his round, as the well-proportioned 2026 outfielder leveraged the baseball well from gap-to-gap. He displayed strength in his hands and maintains good posture through contact. 

JJ McLaughlin (2026 SS, Glendora, NJ) stood out with his ability to repeatedly find the barrel, while impacting the baseball with authority from gap-to-gap. He stays well connected throughout, uses his lower half effectively and showed plenty of present bat speed. 

Trevor Scott (2026 C, Lititz, PA) used a lofted swing path to create plenty of carry and backspin to the middle-of-the field, while flashing huge power potential and strength at impact. 

Aaron Wu (2027 SS, Short Hills, NJ) found the barrel quite often during his round, as the compact and athletic right-handed hitter shot several line drives from line-to-line. He stays connected with his hands and has advanced feel for the barrel. 

Lucas Vamvaketis (2025 OF, Franklin Square, NY) used his quick twitch and present strength to impact the baseball loudly throughout his round. He implores a fairly low-effort stroke with minimal wasted movement and intent with his hands. 

John Rossman (2026 SS, Belle Mead, NJ) implores an intent based swing with good feel for the barrel and plenty of present bat speed. He stayed through the middle-of-the field extremely well and projects for more power as he continues to add strength. 

Davis Watson (2026 1B, Millsboro, DE) does a nice job of staying in his lower half through impact, while showcasing some of the better bat speed during his round. He has strength at impact and backspins the baseball.
