John Parpis (2025 RHP, Commack, NY) was a bulldog on the mound. The fastball (2383 RPM) was firm with heavy actions. Also mixed in a slider (2317 RPM) that creates strong horizontal break and that he throws out of the same tunnel as the fastball.

2024 High School All State Select Champ 25/26 Batting Practice Highlights

10/19/2024

Brent Celis (2026 3B, Rockwall, TX) loud right-handed power with ability to go line to line. Engages both halves with big hand strength, generates easy lift to both gaps. Power projects big here.

Matthew Manis (2026 LHP, Houston, TX) hammered balls out pull side with several over the fence shots. Low hand set with easy launch and juice. Gets the barrel out with loose hand speed.

Kaleb Harrison (2026 OF, Brookshire, TX) short direct swing with great feel in the box and budding power. Hard pull side liners to the gap and swings with easy bat speed and intent. Generates force.

Ajani Bowrin (2026 C, Morristown, NJ) showed bruising strength that played through the barrel. Physical in the box with heavy impact to both halves, heavy barrels when extended.

Dylan Lahr (2025 1B, Massillon, OH) easy feel for the barrel with big bat speed and strength. Was on the barrel each time out and generated hefty cuts that played to the gaps.

Vito Mannino (2025 3B, Bellmore, NY) can impact the ball in the air, strong and violent swing with bad intentions. Left the yard and showed serious makings of pull-side juice.

Norberick Garcia (2025 SS, Allen Park, MI) used his lower half well and generates loft. Hitterish look with feel for the barrel and uses both halves and all of his maximum strength off the bat.

Matt Strahan (2026 OF, Derwood, MD) generates easy bat speed from a low effort swing. Feel for the barrel with a low effort launch that gets into budding gap to gap power.

Brandon Lunneborg (2026 C, Eagan, MN) lofted path with good connection and solid power that played to the opposite field gap. Can turn and burn to the pull side too.

Elijah Webber (2026 RHP, Boyd, TX) huge left-handed power on display, got the head out and impacted it with ease to the pull side. Generates easy juice with feel for the barrel.

Christian Turner (2025 OF, Haughton, LA) awfully loose swing with easy bat to ball skill. Loose easy whip to the barrel and generates easy hand speed. All fields contact and awfully athletic.

Alex Stumm (2025 SS, Keller, TX) generating easy gap to gap contact and line drive power. Puts on the brakes out front and knows how to produce easy loft and backspin to the pull side.

Jackson Dippel (2026 SS, Houston, TX) hard line drives to the pull side and drove the ball with relative ease. Plenty of whip and extension out front and budding power.

Miguel Lopez (2026 C, Redwood City, CA) very easy feel for the barrel, gets the head out with solid contact. Good handle in the box and can turn and burn a bit to the pull side.

Miguel Lopez (2026 C, Redwood City, CA) plenty of bat speed and raw intent to build upon. Gets on plane well and showed a sound up the middle approach, plenty of feel.

Walker Roberts (2025 RHP, Greensboro, GA) big pull side power flashed in round with loud contact. Was all over the barrel and stung balls deep to the pull gap, getting out front well.

Noah Jordi (2025 1B, Canton, GA) awfully loud round full of hard contact and even leaving the yard on several occassions. Simply loud lefty juice and produces easy backspin and carry.

Evan McElvain (2026 C, Thompson’S Station, TN) big right-handed power and stung balls deep to the pull side gap. Physical athlete with some twitch in his swing with how quick he sees it deep and reacts.

Southeast V. West

10/19/2024

Corden Pettey (2025 RHP, Rocklin, CA) opened plenty of eyes. Worked every bit of 90-92 mph and topped 93 mph from a deceptive low release that jumps out of hand. Overpowered the zone. Went to both slider and changeup whenever he wanted and simply overmatched guys. Name to know.

Masataka Shudo (2026 2B, Menlo Park, CA) pitched with great tempo on the hill and forced outs. Feel for three quality pitches and great feel to spin in the low-70s. Has an up tempo delivery and knows how to get down the slope.

Jayzic Matos (2026 C, Henderson, NV) stung a loud barrel to the pull side for a knock. Showed some good hand strength at contact and his solid BP round has shown up in game. Very sound in the box over two games today.

Southeast V. South Central Game Highlights

10/19/2024

Braden Comstock (2026 RHP, Houston, TX) up to 85 and lived there with a potent two-plane slider that can be spun upwards of 2800 RPMs. It forced whiffs and he pitched to contact very well. Loads to like.

Elijah Webber (2026 Boyd, TX) absolutely touched off on a home run that nearly hit the shed out to right field. It's huge left-handed juice with an abiliyt to lift and backspin balls out to the pull side. The two-way potential is loud as well. Just a loud display.

Jasper House (2026 C, Comer, GA) showed a real good piece of hitting to rope a double down the line. Loose hands stung one through the zone and has a very level swing path. Feel to hit in the box.

Evan McElvain (2026 C, Thompson’S Station, TN) stung one deep to the gap for a double. Real good strength at the plate, gets extended out front and does serious damage off the bat. Physical backstop with heavy power potential.

Jackson Dippel (2026 SS, Houston, TX) roped one down the line for a double. Good speed and loose hands at the plate with solid bat-to-ball skills. Knows his way in the box, good athlete who can really set the tone atop an order.

West V. South Central Game Highlights

10/19/2024

Benjamin Nuncio (2026 RHP, Taft, CA) up to 85 mph with a potent mix. Lived in that FB range all day with armside run. Tailed a low-70s slider off it for whiffs. Pitches to tempo really well and threw strikes, has feel for mix and a good changeup as well.

Christian Turner (2025 OF, Haughton, LA) had a 3-hit day stung one down the line for a loud triple. Quick twitch left-handed swing and showed the ability to get the head out front in space and impact it to the pull side. Good athlete who simply impacts the game on both sides.

Steven Serna (2025 LHP, El Paso, TX) worked low-80s and simply filled up the zone with tempo. Higher spin slider in the 69-71 mph range was effective. Filled the zone at will and it comes out free and easy.

Jackson Fontenette (2026 3B, Tomball, TX) strung together loud contact all afternoon. Pieced a ball the other way for extra bases and later stung one back up the middle. He has strong hands at the point of contact and is a really wiry athlete with more room to add power.

Drew Milner (2026 RHP, Grandview, TX) real good frame to build upon and has a short quick arm that is hidden through the back very well. Up to 86 mph and lived mid-80s with some late tail. Gets over the top on his breaking ball awfully well. Lots to like.

Brant Usherwood (2026 C, Artesia, NM) delivered a loud barrel through the left side for a knock. Heavy barrel and ability to lift the ball to the pull side with ease. Physical backstop with budding power.
