2022 Top Prospects

Samuel Benedict  SS - 2022 - South Glastonbury, CT
Uncommitted

Benedict was sharp on both sides of the ball, both during drills as well as live action. He does a nice job of staying compact with his left-handed swing and showed a natural feel for the barrel, squaring the ball up against live pitching consistently. Along with active footwork on defense, Benedict showed nice body control as well as soft hands, making all the plays.

Roman Digiacomo  C - 2022 - Fairfield, CT
Duke

Despite his 6-3/215 frame Digiacomo still ran a 7.19 60-yard, speaking to his athleticism, which was on display behind the plate alongside his arm strength which was up to 80 mph. The Duke commit also showed strength at the dish with a 96 mph exit velocity which he's able to generate thanks to the combination of his bat speed and physical strength.

Samuel Feliciano  1B - 2022 - East Longmeadow, MA
Uncommitted

Feliciano is a strongly built first baseman who knows how to incoprorate that strength into his right-handed swing as evidenced by his 100 mph exit velocity. The swing itself is quick to the ball and he connected for hard line drive contact to the middle & pull parts of the field. He also jumped on the mound and was up to 86 mph with his best fastball, showing some heavy life in the zone.

Anthony Torreso  C - 2022 - Stratford, CT
Davidson

Torreso is another backstop who impressed with an 80 mph throw and a pop time of 1.93, working with a short arm stroke to generate nice carry down to second base. Offensively he shows a long and fluid stroke, creating separation in his swing with extension out front while consistently being on time with his front foot.

2023 Top Prospects

Dylan Vigue  SS - 2023 - Leominster, MA
Michigan

Vigue impressed all around the diamond with his arm strength, both from the outfield and infield, before jumping on the mound where he was electric and up to 91 mph while sitting in the upper-80s. He's ultra-projectable at 6-3/190 and showed nice bat speed through the zone with natural lift at the point of contact.

Luke Szepek  C - 2023 - Albany, NY
West Virginia

Szepek is a long and athletic 6-3/185 backstop who showed solid skills on both sides of the ball. His arm strength plays very well (up to 80 mph) while popping a 2.01 and he was just as impressive with the bat, showing a loose with nice separation and plenty of power projection.

Matthew Thorsen  SS - 2023 - Ghent, NY
Northeastern

Thorsen is listed as a primary shortstop where he threw 85 mph while running a 7.16, but it was on the mound where he turned in his best performance. He was up to 86 mph on the mound with heavy life through the zone while mixing a tight slider with sharp life.

Kyle Hard  RHP - 2023 - Mahwah, NJ
Iona

Hard is a primary middle infielder who showed the best infield velocity of the day, recording a top throw of 85 mph across the diamond. His athleticism and projection play well both with the stick where he showed quickness to his hands with occasional lift out front, as well as on the mound where he was up to 83 mph with a swing and miss type curveball.

Daniel Rice III  SS - 2023 - West Greenwich, RI
Sacred Heart

Rice III posted the lone sub-7 60-yard of the day with a 6.90 and carried that momentum into the rest of the showcase. He has some arm strength across the diamond, showing nice body control and footwork within his actions. His left-handed swing is short and direct to the ball which allowed him to work to all parts of the field with barreled contact.

2024 Top Prospects

Eric Cha  1B - 2024 - Harrington Park, NJ
Northeastern

The 6-3/205 Cha showed off some of his two-way potential during the showcase, beginning on the mound where the right-hander was up to 85 mph with a quick arm while mixing a pair of breaking balls for strikes. His swing is both short and quick with some jump coming off and more in the tank with mechanical refinements.
