2027 MLB Draft Board: Top 75

Another day, and another board is here. We shift our focus to a very early look at the 2027 class loaded with incoming freshmen and what is shaping up to be a strong prep group. The top of the board is highlighted by two premier arms in LSU righty William Schmidt and Oregon State’s Dax Whitney. The tandem made news with their decision to choose school over last year’s draft.

The rest of the college class is a strong blend of up-the-middle athletes at a number of well-established collegiate programs.



On the high school side, it is shaping up to be a very intriguing two-way class with a mix of speed and power at the plate and on the mound. Chase Fuller is the top prep at this moment and is well deserved with his deep track record of performance on the PG circuit. Jared Grindlinger isn’t far behind either after a huge summer in 2024.

This is obviously very early in the process, but this class can shape out to be quite a good one. We
