Navy V. Purple Game Highlights

11/5/2023

Luis Castillo (2025 C, Balch springs, TX) another monster showing with the stick as he left the yard. Huge impact juice and can really turn. Physical in the box with strength that plays to the big parts of the field. Heavier fastball diet on the hill too with good carry from a lower slot.

Brycen Romberg (2025 3B, Tomball, TX) showing out with the stick now in the second game. Blistered one to the opposite field gap for a triple. Quick hands match plane well and he can really get into high gear on the basepaths. Big weekend for the uncommitted 2025.

Leyton Weaks (2024 1B, Magnolia, TX) put together several quality swings and it continued. Heavy hands and a physical build. Good strength to build upon, gets into it well and doesn't cheat himself or sell out.

Purple V. Gray Game Highlights

11/5/2023

Brycen Romberg (2025 3B, Tomball, TX) athletic arm with power breaker, has downer shape upwards of 2400 spin. Settled mid-80s and held it, quick arm and the athlete on the hill shows. Good changeup to mix, as well.

Jaiden Lee (2026 SS, Missouri City, TX) good showing both sides. Hard single up the middle and followed up on the hill. Can spin a breaking ball with plenty of intent. Worked with good tempo and the traits are present.

Landon Middleton (2025 OF, Burleson, TX) physical presence with strength throughout. Loud double down the line. Short, quick swing with a strong set of hands. Looked the part at the plate.

Lucas Knee (2024 OF, Katy, TX) continues to swing it well and puts together several quality ABs. Good swing decisions on display all weekend long.

Gray V. Navy Game Highlights

11/5/2023

Cameron Johnson (2024 RHP, Waco, TX) has a starter's build with tons more in the tank. Ran it up to 86 mph and sinks it well, showed a potent slider in the mix too with late bite and depth. Good intent from a full arm swing and the projection can really hit with this one.

Fabrizio Salinas (2025 RHP, Mission, TX) worked well on the hill and has good feel for his arsenal. Lived mostly low-80s with some run to the fastball, broke off several quality breaking balls for strikes. Filled the zone and knows how to pitch.

Gage Lovin (2024 UT, Drumright, OK) showed some impact with the stick, a booming double to the gap. Bat speed and strength off the barrel courtesy of a quick set of hands. Solid BP has shown up in game this weekend.

Christopher Brown (2026 C, Brentwood, TN) loud booming home run off a hanger. Looseness in the path and the impact plays. Good traits behind the dish and putting on a show.

Game Highlights

11/4/2023

Roman Grametbauer (2025 OF, Hutto, TX) got the scoring started in the bottom of the first for the navy squad when he crushed a ball over the wall in right field. This impressive swing followed a very loud outing during batting practice where he also showed an ability to get the bat head out front and do damage.

Ryan Selvaggi (2024 OF, Houston, TX) was really impressive in his two innings of work on the mound running his fastball up to 88 mph. The young right-hander did a nice job of attacking earlier in counts with his fastball and showed feel for the slider later in counts with big depth in the low 70’s.

Judson Dowell (2026 OF, Houston, TX) came in for a short outing on the bump running his fastball up to 87 mph with good plane to the plate. He was able to land a low 70’s curveball off the fastball with 12-6 shape as a quality secondary offering.

Reid Kilgo (2025 2B, Austin, TX) got things going in game two for his Navy team with a double down the line to the pull side. The young infielder shows solid twitch to his game not only with his 6.86 speed but also his hand speed in the right-handed batters box to get the bat head out front.

Albert Aprea (2026 RHP, Needville, TX) was solid for three innings of work with four strikeouts while filling up the zone at over a 60% clip. The fastball was the main weapon sitting mostly in the low 80’s and topping out at 83 mph. He also showed a low 70’s curveball with solid depth that he could land to keep hitters honest.

Luis Castillo (2025 C, Balch springs, TX) had a solid day on both side getting it done both behind the plate and behind it. The junior catcher did a nice job handling the running game and pitching staff from behind the plate but really made his impact felt with his bat in the right-handed batter box. Castillo dropped the barrel on a fastball and drove a moon shot out to the pull side for a long home run.

Barrett Kasprowicz (2025 SS, Dallas, TX) was pretty much in complete control the entire time he was on the mound. The Houston commit ran his fastball up to 83 mph and really found a groove with his slider as a put away pitch. He followed that up with a double in the pull side gap lacing a fastball to the wall and racing into second base.

Lucas Knee (2024 OF, Katy, TX) put a really good swing on the baseball, getting the barrel out front and sinking into his legs as he created leverage out front and split the right center field gap for a double. He used his length well to not only create extension but also with his strides as he cruised into second base while collecting an RBI.
