Navy Team Game Highlights

2/18/2024

Reese Davis (2026 RHP, Severna Park, MD) worked from a projectable 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame on the mound chucking easy low 80s with whip to the arm action. Will continue to see velocity development as the build fills out with swing and miss already present in the arsenal.

Jibreel Long (2025 RHP, Harrisburg, PA) displayed his unmatched arm speed on the bump in a two inning appearance, running the FB up to 88 mph with feel for multiple off speed pitches. Created natural arm side run with an in-line full stride down the hill.

Liam Velit (2026 C, Columbus, NJ) showed off the pure strength in the hands by driving a ball to deep CF, jumping on a FB early in the count during his second AB. The 6-foot, 185 pound righty generates evident hip torque with good usage of the lower half in the stroke.

Giovanni Latino (2026 1B, Norwood, NJ) consistently barreled up balls in his opportunities at the plate, generating backspin and carry gap to gap with clear strength present in the 6-foot-2, 220 pound frame.

Colin McGeehan (2025 OF, Aberdeen, NJ) overpowered hitters with a steady FB diet in his one inning appearance on the mound, touching 84 mph with relative ease. The 6-foot-3, 195 pound righty still has plenty of projection remaining with spin profile continuing to develop in the arsenal.

Green Team Highlights

Jacob Hammer (2026, Tobacco, NJ) showed an intriguing arsenal across his two innings of work, as the athletic right-hander ran it up to 84 mph. He maintained the low-80s effortlessly, while showing the aptitude for spin by using both his slider and curveball as his go-to secondary offerings. He rippled off a few hellacious sliders in the 2400 RPM range for swings-and-misses, and went to the depthy curveball for strikes. He completed his mix with a heavy faded changeup that he replicated arm speed on and killed spin.

Noah Banick (2025, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ) showed plenty of intrigue in his two innings of work, as the durable lefty ran it up to 82 mph with natural arm-side life to it. He landed his 1-7 shaped breaking ball for strikes at-will, while manipulating the depth on it effectively. Flashed a well-replicated changeup with slight fade to complete his mix and generated plenty of empty swings with his entire repertoire.

Ryan Marmolejos (2027, Wyomissing, PA) scorched a line drive single up, as he did a nice job of using his quick hands to deliver the barrel on-time. He stays compact through contact and will continue to add more strength.

Jackson Magley (2026, Randolph, NJ) smoked a line drive double to the right centerfield gap, as the twitchy 2026 Grad stayed simple and quick with his hands.

Ty Weber (2027, Ocean View, DE) was dominant in his two innings of work, racking up tons of swings-and-misses with his full array of pitches. He ran his fastball up to 82 mph throughout, showed the ability to land his slider for strikes and effectively killed spin on his changeup. He commanded all four quadrants of the strike zone effortlessly, while displaying the ability to manipulate speed and shape to his slider.

Batting Practice Highlights

2/18/2024

Braden Mellage (2025 C, Iselin, NJ) impressed with his propensity to find the barrel throughout his round. He implores a compact line drive stroke with flashes of power potential to left centerfield gap.

Ty Weber (2027 RHP, Ocean View, DE) was on the barrel consistently during his round, as the 2027 Delaware native sent several line drives to the middle-of-the field with authority. He displayed plenty of quickness to his hands and delivered the barrel on-time.

Chet Furmanek III (2025 1B, Georgetown, DE) showed off immense power potential to the pullside, as the strongly built 2025 loudly impacted the baseball numerous times throughout his round. He whips the barrel with plenty of present bat speed and has strength in his hands.

Liam Velit (2026 C, Columbus, NJ) took perhaps the loudest and most consistent round of the day. The 2026 backstop creates easy present bat speed, has excellent feel for the barrel and legitimate juice from gap-to-gap. He impacted the baseball persistently throughout the entirety of his round.

Ethan Byrd (2025 LHP, Green Brook, NJ) was impressive with his ability to create easy bat speed, while finding the barrel quite often during his round. He generated natural lift and impacted the baseball with authority through the middle-of-the field well.

Colin McGeehan (2025 OF, Aberdeen, NJ) used a compact, line drive stroke to send several line drives through the middle-of-the field during his round. He flashed some budding power potential to the left centerfield gap and will continue to expand with additional physical maturity.

Christopher Perrotta (2027 SS, Sussex, NJ) showed plenty of things to like moving forward, as he stayed loose with his hands and delivered the barrel on-time throughout his round.

Anthony Molinini (2026 SS, Staten Island, NY) showcased legitimate switch-hitting abilities, sending numerous line drives from both sides during his round. He has plenty of present bat speed and flashed power potential from the right-side.
