16-Colombia Blue vs 17-Orange Game Highlights

8/4/2024

Kingston Stroshine (2029 OF, Alpine, UT)- Nice appearance out of the 'pen to close things down from Stroshine, touched 80-mph and spun a bigger low 60's CB to pair with his heater. Has some present size and physicality.

Tyler Day (2028 C, Midland, TX)- Good day for him atop the order, collecting a pair of extra base hits that were both well struck. Athletic look and swing with clean strides on the basepaths, can run and projects nicely out across the board as a player.

Maximus Loya (2028 SS, Angleton, TX)- Collected a double for his club on the day, the only other prospect to do so on his team.

Walker Roach (2028 C, Robstown, TX)- Another good day for Roach in the box and in the field. Strong prospect who can handle the bat and should continue to hit a nice clip moving forward.

Ryan Tyer (2029 2B, Whitehouse, TX)- Two good innings of work out of the 'pen, induced consistent weak contact throughout while also picking up a hit on the day.

15-Black vs 16-Colombia Blue Game Highlights

Hudson Sage (2029 SS, Houston, TX)- Clean inning in relief to wrap things up from Sage, running up to 78-mph pretty effortlessly with a clean release and things to project on down the line across the board.

Gage Wigley (2029 LHP, Pineville, LA)- Three innings with seven strikeouts to pair to open things up. Up to 63-mph and located his pitches, solid mix and induced some weak swings. Multi hit game in the box as well.

Luke Dierlam (2028 C, Shiner, TX)- Up to 73-mph here and showed well in game action, five strikeouts to his credit and did not allow much hard contact throughout the duration of his stint. Three solid barrels in game action as well, putting up numbers across the board.

Shane Berryhill (2028 MIF, Beaumont, TX)- Ran the heater to 74-mph and looked solid in a pair of innings to open, spun a mid 60's breaking ball too.

Walker Roach (2028 C, Robstown, TX)- Four strikeouts for Roach while touching 73-mph on his fastball out of the 'pen. 57% strikes and could spin it as well, things to like.

Tristan Nassar (2029 OF, Athens, LA)- Pair of hits in this one from Nassar, good athlete that runs well with a projectable frame and athleticism.

Jacen Vela (2028 SS, Corpus Christi, TX)- Two hits including a double from Vela. Good athlete with a solid fundamental base that can easily be projected upon to improve down the line.

Carson Casellas (2028 SS, Kingwood, TX)- Casellas comes up with the only multi hit performance for his club in this one. Pair of singles go to his credit in this one, strung together some quality at-bats.

18-Purple vs 15-Black Game Highlights

8/4/2024

Trenton Ruehle (2029 OF, Choctaw, OK) went with the ball the other way for a base-hit. Quality 2-strike approach with feel for the barrel. Swing is short and simple and controls the zone well.

Hudson Spillers (2029 OF, Calhoun, LA) had an extra loud day at the plate going 3-3 with a double. Smoked a ball to pull for a base-hit in game action. Has a short lefty swing with good rhythm in the box. Stays short to it with good barrel control. Did it again in his next ab. Bat to ball has been very impressive. Absolutely torched a double to right in his final ab.

Derek Shaw (2028 OF, Houston, TX) pieced a ball up through the 6 hole for a base-hit. Athletic frame with evident strength. Has bat speed that will play with a level swing path through the zone. Came up again and drilled a ball the other way for a double. Can really scoot around the bases.

Hunter Puckett (2028 1B, Porter, TX) found a nice barrel back up the middle for a base-hit in game action. Has a quick set of hands with plenty of feel in the box. Caps his day off with another base-hit up the middle.

Tristan Nassar (2029 OF, Athens, LA) smoked a ball the other way for a base-hit in game action and then proceeded to steal 2 bags. Good instincts on the base-paths. Has a short swing and adjusts well in the zone.

Diego Cordero (2028 C, Spring, TX) absolutely pummeled a ball down the line in left for a double in game action. Quick bat with a level swing. Taps into his lower half a good bit and can impact it out in front.

Hunter LaRue (2029 OF, Cypress, TX) hammered a ball to left for a loud double down the line. Physical in the box with a clean weight transfer. Level swing and can impact it hard out to pull.

Caleb Smith (2028 OF, Lufkin, TX) ripped a ball back up the middle for a base-hit. Short to it with a quick set of hands. Rythmic rock back and stride forward with a short and simple stroke.

Summer South Prospect Gateway BP Highlights

8/3/2024

Jacen Vela (2028 SS, Corpus Christi, TX) showed really good feel for the barrel throughout his round of BP as he was on it consistently. Head stays on it well with a clean finish through.

Hudson Spillers (2029 OF, Calhoun, LA) uses a big leg lift into stride to tap into his lower half and could impact liners to pull with big authority. It's a smooth lefty swing with good feel in the box.

Luke Dierlam (2028. C, Shiner, TX) is extremely physical in the box for his age and showed off the juice throughout his round of BP. Showed good impact off the barrel with power projecting very well.

Tristan Nassar (2029 OF, Athens, LA) had a nice round of BP living on the barrel with good rhythm in the box. Taps into his lower half well as the ball carries off his barrel. Good feel for the barrel overall.

Hudson Sage (2029 SS, Houston, TX) one of the louder showings in BP on the day sending 2 balls out over the fence. Quick bat with a level path that can impact it with ease. Stays short to it and can launch.

Walker Roach (2028 C, Robstown, TX) showed good overall feel for the barrel throughout his round of BP stinging liners all over. Gets off his backside well with plenty of bat speed to get the job done.

Kingston Stroshine (2029 OF, Alpine, UT) had a good round of BP showing of the athleticism in the box. Has a nice balanced stance with good rhythm in the box. He stays on it well and could impact it gap to gap. Power projects really well here.

Purple V. Orange Game Highlights

8/3/2024

Jermire Roberts, Jr. (2029 OF, Port Arthur, TX) good setup in the box with a quick set of hands for his age group. Stung a ball back up the middle for a knock and stayed behind and drove one to the pull side for a loud barrel, athletic look to him and shortens his swing awfully well.

Augustus Naquin (2028 RHP, Caldwell, TX) worked into the low-70s and has a lower release height that produces good amounts of run to his fastball. Really tails against lefties and showed plenty of feel for a low-60s slider with healthy shape.

Derek Shaw (2028 OF, Houston, TX) really athletic and swings with loads of bat speed. Great adjustment to a high fastball. Stung a double down the line and easily scooted around first into second. Really good athlete all around and has feel in the box.

Kingston Stroshine (2029 OF, Alpine, UT) super athletic coming off an impressive showing Friday. He stung a ball to the left-center gap for a standup triple. Followed. it up with a loud double to the gap. Strong hands, created space and got the barrel out front to it. Impressive young athlete.

Roman Pena (2029 C, Groves, TX) stung a double deep to the right-center gap for a loud barrel. Worked a quality at-bat and hammered a middle-middle fastball. Good piece of hitting with solid strength to take it the other way. Showed well on the mound too pitched to contact.

Maximilian Richter (2029 RHP, Waelder, TX) very quick and wiry arm for age and bumped into the low-70s with a good changeup to both sides. Gets around his front side well and simply competes out there. He is a gamer in many facets.

Carter Hare (2028 RHP, Lafayette, LA) has solid feel to pitch and can really spin his breaking ball at his age. It has good depth and landed out of the hand. Fastball was to both sides and worked into the low-70s from a quick arm action.

Coby Koteras (2028 SS, Richmond, TX) very impressive two-way showing. Showed an adjustable, strong arm at shortstop but the pitching on the mound impressed. Easy delivery up to low-80s and the fastball jumped a bit out of hand. Very synced up release and has great potential.
