Noah Ampudia (2027 OF, Saddle Brook, NJ) Lead off the game for Columbia Blue and drove a base hit back up the middle on a line to get the bats rolling. Short, compact stroke with solid bat to ball feel. He came around to score on a base hit to left by Adam Lafever (2025 SS, San Diego, CA) for the games first run.
Austin Finegan (2026 OF, Clovis, CA) Took the ball for Purple in game one of the day. The LHP attacked the zone, moving the ball in and out and mixing in a curveball and change up to keep hitters off balance. Went two innings, allowing one earned and struck out two.
Christopher Alvarez (2027 RHP, Apple Valley, CA) Got the start on the bump for Columbia Blue. He went three innings, only needing 39 pitches, allowing one hit, no runs and struck out five
Ethan Montes (2025 SS, Simi Valley, CA) Had one of the louder barrels of the weekend for Columbia Blue, driving a double to the pull side that one hipped the wall. Big time bat speed, generating from the lowers with authority in the AB. Collected his second hit in the sixth, going back up the middle to set up runners on 1st and 3rd.
Joseph Edwards Phillips (2025 OF, Santa Rosa Ca, CA) hammered a ball in the gap in the fifth for Purple. Stole 3rd on the next pitch and took home on an errant throw into the outfield for Purple's first run of the ball game.
Gavin Dow (2025 C, Meridian, ID) Had a really nice at-bat in the Fifth for Columbia Blue, going shopping in the gap in right-center for a stand up Double.
Tyler Maula (2026 C, Chula Vista, CA) Added an extra base-hit for Columbia Blue in the 6th, staying on a line and driving a double to the pull side.
