2025 Top Prospects

Ryan Brennecke  LHP - 2025 - Oconomowoc, WI
South Carolina

Pretty clearly the top overall prospect from the North Indoor. Athletic left-handed pitcher with arm speed and repeatbale delivery. Overloaded the zone with the lively low 90's fastball. Got plenty of whiffs on the heater alone. But, worked a curveball and slider off a similar plane, missed all the barrels,. Both are advanced with real sharpness and bite. One of the better overall showcase outings I've ever seen.

Adam Urban  RHP - 2025 - Wauwatosa, WI
Minnesota

Urban showed loud stuff, running it up to 91 on the bump. The Minnesota native has great quality to the fastball and he spun a sharp two-plane slider. Urban rounded out the three pitch mix with a splitter that dove with swing-and-miss capability.

Jaxon Clayton  RHP - 2025 - Brookfield, WI

Clayton looked great on the mound, exhibiting athelticism while topping out at 91 mph. The fastball gets on you and he paired it with a tight slider in the low-80s to get whiffs. Clayton also showed a nice changeup and possesses a strong three pitch mix with lots of swing-and-miss ability.

Big durable build. Movies with ahtleticism and fluidity given the size. Clean on lin e arm stroke creates velocities up to 87. Spun a slider with very good depth and is confident in his advanced fade changeup as an out pitch.

Primary catcher that has athletic movemnts on the throws down and possesses sound receiving ability. Also worked out in infield where he showed good lateral range and an arm that make on line driven through from deep in the hole. The swing works is rhythmic with the lower and upper half working in unison as he rotates. There's natural strength in the build that shows when he is on the barrel. 90 EV.

Andrew Carlson  3B - 2025 - Neenah, WI

Carlson showed impact in the bat and plenty of strength coming off. The stroke is clean and functional, crushing balls with regularity to the pull side gap during his round. The primary third baseman has present pop that plays well at the hot corner.

Brendan Scheel  1B - 2025 - Big Bend, WI

Scheel employs a simple swing that produced good results. The primary first baseman recorded an 89 mph exit velocity and used a pull side approach. The ball jumps and he flashed the pop, barreling up and lifting balls loudly during the round.

PJ Hamel  C - 2025 - Sussex, WI

Hamel showed a big arm from behind the dish as well as big impact with the stick. The backstop pummeled some balls during his batting practice round and the ball came off real hard, staying to the middle of the field. Hamel recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph.

Quick uptempo delivery with clean arm stroke and athletic movements down the slope. Runs the lively fastball well into the upper 80's and pairs a sharp 10-4 breaker off of it. Mixed in a heavy sweeping style slider to miss bats throughout the showing. Commanded the zone with all three throughout.

Gavin Wesling  3B - 2025 - Clinton, WI

Wesling is a 6-foot-3 primary third baseman with a projectable frame and ran very well, recording a 6.89 60-yard dash. He lived on the barrel during the batting practice round and the ball really jumps, recording an exit velocity of 90 mph.

Schlosser has impressive athleticism, running a 6.96 60-yard dash and showed it off during the infield round too. The shortstop threw 91 mph across the diamond and moved around with bounce. He has an easy swing and employs a line drive approach.

Big durable frame with a strong lower half. Shows sound fundamental action at first base with a strong arm on the 3-6-3 start up. At the dish he has a functional swing that delivers the barrel on a short compact path. Strength in the build creates easy jump that plays in the air through the gaps.

Tyson Grulkowski  RHP - 2026 - Muskego, WI

Grulkowski showed loud performaces on both sides of the ball. The primary arm topped out at 89 from a low slot and has big spin traits. He drove the ball with authority and impact to pull side, showing quality bat speed and recording a 94 mph exit velocity.

Matthew O'Grady  OF - 2026 - Williams Bay, WI

O'Grady displayed loud tools all across the board. The outfielder ran a blazing 6.67 60-yard dash and showed good arm strength as well, recoridng throws up to 85 mph. The swing is super simple and he drove it hard and consistently to pull side, showcasing excellent bat speed.

Big lean frame. Uptempo worker that creates downhill life to an upper 80's fastball. Curveball has exceelent depth when executed. Showed atheltic and fundamental actions at first base as well as great bat speed and power potential throughout batting practice and in game reps.

Urban has a smooth uptempo delivery with sound usage of his strong lower half. Drives the ball downhill through the glove. Arm has whip through release and shows in the excellent spin numbers. Short breaker was tough to identify and snuck under the barrel of opposing bats. Quality piece with solid projection.

Big durable first baseman that shows real left-handed thump. The bat works uphill to impact allowing the stand out power to play in the air. Was able to get the barrel extended and really launch one in game. Solid bat speed/power blend.

Melby showed a live arm and tons of projection on the bump. The right-hander stands at tall 6-foot-6, 210-pounds and ran the fastball up to 83 mph. The arm speed proejcts and he showed a solid slider and changeup to round out the three pitch mix.

Athletic outfielder that shows quick feet and solid fundamental actions through recption. Drove it hard downhill to the plate. Its a functional swing with compact bat path and whip to barrel working through the zone on a level plane. Line drive oriented approach that porjects for more power.

Frangopoulos was on the barrel consistently during his round and ripped balls throughout. The left-handed bat has advanced bat speed and a very functional stroke, using all fields with ease. He is athletic in the outfield and recorded throws up to 85 mph.

Connor Kenjic  C - 2027 - Hobart, IN

Kenjic showed good zip on throws down to second from behind the dish as well as a strong bat. The Indiana native employed a tension-free stroke with rhythm and reapeats very well. Kenjic also showed the same big arm strength on the left side, recording throws up to 87 mph.
