2028 Top Prospects

Beau Neal  SS - 2028 - Trenton, OH

Neal was one of the more sure handed IF's of the event, consistently making difficult plays look routine from SS with carry across the diamond up to 80 mph. The projectable 5-foot-11, 140 pound righty was also up to 80 mph on the mound and looked comfortable regardless of where he was on the field. He showcased a sound line drive approach offensively with the ability to work all parts of the field.

Brannan Vargas  C - 2028 - Toledo, OH

Vargas flashed evident tools on both sides of the field during his event, starting behind the dish where he displayed accurate throws down to 2B posting a 2.06 pop time. The athletic 6-foot-1, 185 pound prospect also ran it up to 80 mph on the mound with the ability to manipulate shape of the breaker up to 1935 rpm. Offensively, Vargas generated consistent loud impact to the pull side gap with evident power potential developing for the future.

Chance Campbell  SS - 2028 - Saint Albans, WV

Campbell showcased above average arm strength for his age from the IF, topping out at 78 mph across the diamond with soft hands and solid lateral range displayed. The 5-foot-11, 170 pound prospect also was effective offensively, flashing the ability to drive the baseball back up the middle, posting an exit velo of 80 mph.

Zechariah Williams  2B - 2028 - Elizabethtown, KY

Williams showcased a solid defensive foundation with plenty of projectable actions during his event, starting from the IF where the 5-foot-8, 146 pound prospect topped out at 77 mph across the diamond. The glove was reliable and throws were consistently on target. He efficiently got outs on the mound with both a CB and CH flashed in the arsenal.

Jayden Arnold  RHP - 2028 - Clarksville, IN

Arnold works from a physical 5-foot-10, 175 pound frame and utilized the strength well offensively for loud impact to the pull side of the field. He picked up a ground rule double in game and also showcased coordinated footwork around the bag at 1B defensively.


2029 Top Prospects

Colton Smith  C - 2029 - Liberty Twp, OH

Smith had one of the most lively arms of the event to say the least, running it up to 82 mph both from the OF and on the mound with athletic movements clearly displayed. He showcased feel for spin and the ability to sequence pitches effectively for swing and miss. Offensively, the 5-foot-11, 155 pound prospect repeated the stroke extremely well and flashed advanced barrel control for his age, posting an exit velo of 77 mph.

Grady Leach  OF - 2029 - Makawao, HI

Leach was impressive defensively from the OF and at 1B, covering ground effectively at both spots while topping out at 79 mph across the diamond. He also showcased things to like offensively, shifting the weight well through impact to create young carry to both gaps.
