11-Coastal vs. 15-Southeast

Ryan Gaines (2028 RHP, Haymarket, VA) struck out three in two shutout innings of work. Ran the FB up to 83, working it east/west effectively. Also mixed in a quality slider at 69-71 he showed he could land for strikes.

Ashton Fricks (2028 RHP, Pikeville, NC) did a good job going with an outside FB and lining the other way into the right-center gap for a double. Simple/short swing operation where he lets his hands play.

Sebastian Villarraga (2028 3B, Miramar, FL) stayed inside an inside fastball nicely and pounded a line drive into the right-center gap for a single. He works the barrel short-to-long through the zone with present barrel quickness.

Drew Steinemann (2028 C, Marietta, GA) barreled a hard line drive into left for a single. Shows loose/easy rhythm to the swing where he throws a flat/quick barrel through the zone. 

Jeyden Dejesus (2028 3B, Tampa, FL) flied one deep over the LF's head for a standup double. Shows some loose rhythm to the hands that whip the barrel through with some quality bat speed. 

Travis Wallace (2027 3B, Cumming, GA) followed up a HR in his previous game with a double he drove into the LC gap in his second. Serious impact/power from this '27 grad.


14 - California vs. 19- Deep South

10/20/2024

Casey Prieto (2027 RHP, Paso Robles, CA) showed a simple/repeatable operation in his two innings of work where he struck out five. Ran it up to 87 with the FB he located well and mixed in both a SL and CB that had distinct shape. His CB was a bigger slurvy breaker he landed in-zone and his SL was sharp and depthy that induced some chase. 

Logan Mull (2027 C, San Jose, CA) had himself a nice two-strike knock. It was on an outside FB he stayed on well and drove back up the box. Shows a short-to-long bat path through the zone that maintains good length through the middle.

Weston Todd (2028 3B, Athens, AL) threw three quality innings where he struck out five. Showed a loose/quick arm that ran his FB up to 85, exhibiting some natural running action and at times sink. Also showed strong feel for a quality low 70s SL.

Daniel Hornyak (2028 1B, San Diego, CA) struck out five in his two shutout innings of work. Stands out immediately with his 6-foot-8, 175 pound frame. FB velo fluctuated a bit but he ran it up to 80 early and mixed in an effective low 70s breaker. 

Micah Mecucci (2028 OF, San Marcos, CA) had two hard pullside LD doubles in this game. His foot gets down early and he delivers the barrel on a level path through the zone with some out front intent. 

Joab Bolton (2028 C, Murrayville, GA) drove one deep into the left-center gap for an opposite field double. Some good intent to the swing where his hands work tight/fast in delivering the barrel and on this one they stayed inside it well. 

Cooper McCoy (2028 3B, Sumrall, MS) sat back well on a hanging breaking ball and lined it into the right-center gap for a double. Showed a clean lower-half move with a good kickback which allowed room for his hands/barrel to work. 



Florida V. South Central Game Highlights

10/20/2024

Dru Hutcheson (2028 OF, Bogart, GA) hit a towering shot out to right field that carried a long ways. Huge left-handed pop and it was on display. Showed very well on the hill too. Big strength for age. 

Diego Hernandez (2028 1B, Land O Lakes, FL) delivered a loud barrel back up the middle for a knock. Strong hands, gets extended and the barrel is out with quick force generated through contact. Had multiple knocks on the day to all fields. 

James Bowser (2028 RHP, Wellington, FL) loads of projection left in a wiry 6-foot-4 build. Pitched to contact very well in the high-70s and spun a quality breaking ball added to his mix. Rolled on the hill. 

Ryan Morgan (2027 C, Corpus Christi, TX) worked low-80s from solid over the top arm action. Can really spin a slurve like breaker with intent. Flashed a good changeup and showed out on both sides this weekend. 

Carlos Luis Cruz (2027 SS, Oviedo, FL) flashed the leather all weekend and it continued with a few dazzling plays up the middle. Higher end defender with real polished actions and a quick twitch glove. 

Luis Carlos Cruz (2027 C, Oviedo, FL) found loud barrels all day including a lined shot through the pull side. Wiry athlete with a quick set of hands that get to contact real well. Good bat to ball skill. 

Trevor Reed (2028 SS, Fort Smith, AR) lifted one deep to left field for a double. Really good piece of hitting and worked a quality at-bat in the process. Has quick hands and works in space at the plate. Also showed a potent mix on the bump. 


7-Texas vs. 17-South Game Highlights

10/20/2024

Adrian Bellanger (2027 SS, Spicewood, TX) on the barrel during game action all weekend and continued that in the championship game here with a base-hit to pull in his first at bat. Short swing with sneaky pop off the barrel. 

Truett Allen (2027 3B, Houston, TX) has continued to impress all weekend in game action as he sent a loud double to straight away center on a line. Ball came off hot and was torched. 

Ayden Collier (2027 OF, Rosenberg, TX) hurled 3 shutout frames on 5ks. Fastball worked up to 84 and gets in quick. Deceptive delivery and hides ball well making it hard to pick up. Also mixed in a curve with healthy 1-7 shape and could drop it in. Sequenced and tunneled both pitches well off each other keeping hitters off balance. 

Saxon Smith (2028 OF, Lucas, TX) helped complete the no-hit shutout going 2 strong innings on 3ks. Worked up to 82 with a good breaking ball that he could drop in and locate. 


15-Southeast vs. 17-South Game Highlights

10/20/2024

Thomas Giro (2028 C, Coral Gables, FL) found a nice piece the other way for a backside double that carried a long ways and almost left the yard. Showed a good approach in game action and was on the barrel. 

Travis Wallace (2027 3B, Cumming, GA) sent a missile out into the trees for a no-doubt 2-run bomb in game action. Strong kid with big strength at impact. Had a loud BP and took that right into game action. 

Connor Clary (2027 RHP, Corpus Christi, TX) found a loud barrel to center and drove in 2 runs. 

Truett Allen (2027 3B, Houston, TX) hurled 2 shutout frames on 2ks and showed some intriguing stuff off the bump. Fastball worked up to 83 and was located well. Also mixed in a slider with some bite. Was a menace on the base-paths as well. 

 


Georgia V. Ohio Valley Game Highlights

10/20/2024

Cruz Jones (2027 LHP, Thompsons Station, TN) worked low-80s with angle and solid tempo. Mixed in a good changeup and solid short slider for a full mix from the left side. Good athlete and repeats well also pieced a double deep to the gap in game action to help his own cause. 

Graham Stockton (2028 SS, Gallatin, TN) low release and wiry righty with good two-way potential. Up to low-80s with run in on the hands of righties. Had 4 pitches working including a sharp slider and deep curveball. Pitched with tempo from quick arm. Helped his own cause with a big time double to the pull side, as well. 

David Pruitt (2028 1B, Tallapoosa, GA) continues his loud showing with an absolute towering shot for a home run deep to right. He's an immensely strong athlete on both sides for his age group. The power on the hill and with a left-handed bat really plays. 

Brogen Stephens (2028 OF, Hahira, GA) stung one deep to the pull side gap for a double. Showed some loose, adjustable hands to sting a tailing fastball. Good feel for the barrel all weekend and has impressed. 

Ethan York (2028 1B, Alvaton, KY) stung one deep to the gap and raced around the first base bag for a double. Ran it up to 83 mph on the hill with good angle to his release. Big time two-way showing. 

Dylan Verdi (2027 C, Jefferson, GA) big strong frame and strength thrower on the mound or behind the plate. Gets out front on the fastball and showed some life to it. Stays behind throws very well.

Eli Beck (2027 SS, Cincinnati, OH) roped one deep down to right for a double. Very athletic with a good handle for the barrel amongst his group. He has a quick lefty swing with plenty of actions and traits on the dirt. 

Carson Klinger (2027 OF, Suwanee, GA) absolutely stung one deep to center and raced around for a triple. Quick loose hands that can get the barrel out on a line very well. Super twitchy in the box and has shown well all weekend.

Tucker Thompson (2028 3B, Pendergrass, GA) very loud showing with a towering home run out to right field and was low-80s on the hill from a power armed stroke and feel to spin. Simply physical with impact strength that should only mature. He put on an absolute display today that stood out in several facets. 

Jud Layman (2027 OF, Batavia, OH) showed very well at the plate and worked the barrel to all fields. Lined one hard for a double and sped around the basepaths in the process, loud showing. 

 


7-Texas vs. 11-Coastal Game Highlights

10/20/2024

Jamie Chipman (2027 RHP, Rogers, TX) came up big in his first at bat as he ripped a 2-run single back up the middle to get his team on the board early. 

Dominic Naylor (2027 SS, Cedar Park, TX) showcased some loud stuff throughout his outing and was simply put dominant. Fastball worked up to 88 and played firm. Went to a low-80s change with heavy fading action and could locate it at times. Change is starting to look like a really good pitch for him. Flashed a slider and curve as well. Naylor went 2 shutout innings and struck out 6 throughout the process. Also hit a loud booming double to pull. 

Ashton Fricks (2028 RHP, Pikeville, NC) showed a lot to like on both sides of the ball. Was up to 83 off the bump with a really good looking change that he could locate at times and repeated arm speed well. Also hit a double to the right-center field gap. Ball came off hot and carried. 

Cullen Scott (2028, 3B, Melissa, TX) worked up to 86 throughout his 2 innings of work and pounded the zone. He flashed a good breaker as well with bite. Also clobbered a rbi double to the gap in his final at bat. 


7-Texas vs. 9-North

10/19/2024

Matiss Tyree (2027 RHP, Kalamazoo, MI) struck out four in his two innings of work. Shows a projectable 6-foot-4, 170 pound frame. He ran his fastball up to 82 that flashed some running action. Also showed the ability to land a quality low 70s SL that had good depth and produced a couple RHH whiffs. 

Hudson Salyers (2028 OF, Weatherford, TX) struck out three in two innings of work where he showed an athletic operation down the mound with a strong fastball he ran up to 83 that played up in the zone for whiffs due to some carry shape and a low release. 

Blake Edling (2027 1B, Magnolia, TX) struck out the side in his inning of work. Showed an athletic/repeatable operation down the mound with a solid fastball he ran up to 83 and a sharp slider in the low 70s that produced whiffs vs. LHHs. 


8-Pacific Coast vs. 9-North

10/19/2024

Kell VanDehey (2027 RHP, Lake Oswego, OR) struck out four in his two innings of work. Ran his fastball up to 80 and showed a ton of confidence in an upper 60s slurvy breaker he landed for strikes. 

Ian Cabrera (2027 RHP, Eagan, MN) went three strong innings where he struck out four. His fastball lived in the low 80s and topped 85 showing strong feel for it to the gloveside. Mixed in a developing low 70s slurvy breaker. 

Brody Santman (2028 LHP, Sumner, WA) struck out four in his two innings of work. Small/crafty LHP who worked mostly FB/CH producing a ton of whiffs with the CH that had good depth/fade. Also mixed in a developing SL. 

Parker Robinson (2027 SS, Schererville, IN) went two quick shutout innings. Starts with his athletic 6-foot-4, 195 pound frame. Showed a low-effort operation down the mound where he ran his fastball up to an easy 82 and mixed in a shorter/developing slider in the low-mid 70s.

Kaleb Oeth (2028 OF, Verona, WI) lined one deep into the RC gap for a double. Hands worked tight on an inside FB where he created enough space for the barrel to get to it and send it the other way. 

Tanner Herdman (2027 OF, Silverdale, WA) drove one deep into the left-center gap for a double. It was his second XBH hit of the day showing he has some legitimate all-fields power. 


7-Texas vs. 8-Pacific Coast

10/19/2024

Jamie Chipman (2027 RHP, Rogers, TX) struck out four in two shutout innings of work. It all starts with his projectable 6-foot-3, 180 pound frame. The delivery is athletic as he works down the mound with good pace with a loose arm that gets good extension at release. He ran the FB up to 89, living in the mid 80s and was landing an effective low 70s slurvy breaker. 

Tristan Aiello (2027 LHP, Katy, TX) threw three innings where he struck out four. Spotty command but ran his fastball into the low 80s, T84 that showed some strong ride/run shape through the zone that proved hard to square up and produced whiffs. Mixed in a few developing low-mid 60s curveballs. 

Hudson Salyers (2028 OF, Weatherford, TX) had himself a two line drive singles, one a hard shot back up the box and the other being a pullside shot into the 3-4 hole. It's a simple LH stroke with minimal waisted moves where he works the barrel on a flatter path through the zone. 

Gramm Davis (2027 C, Midlothian, TX) had a nice LD single into right on a hanging breaking ball. Show's a smooth LH stroke where his loose hands throw the barrel on a clean path that maintains good length through the zone. 

Griffin Gregory (2028 LHP, Seattle, WA) had a nice opposite field single into left. Showed a simple LH stroke where his hands throw a direct barrel and where they did a good job staying inside the baseball. 

Tanner Herdman (2027 OF, Silverdale, WA) had a 2H game which included a hard GB through the 5-6 hole and a driven double into the RC gap. Noticeable quickness to the hands that supply some quality bat speed.

Florida V. Deep South Game Highlights

Dayan Viciedo Jr (2028 SS, Miami, FL) big time two-way with arm talent. Low-80s arm with run to both sides from lower release. Flashed feel for both a slider and changeup in the 70s. Very athletic and can rotate. 

RJ Shields (2027 OF, Venice, FL) domiant showing on the mound worked up to 86 mph and lived there. Simply an uncomfortable at-bat mixed in a sharp 10-4 curve with intent. Has more in the tank too. 

Cooper McCoy (2028 3B, Sumrall, MS) worked low-80s on the mound as well and really filled the zone. He pitches to contact very well and offers a different look with the way he can change eye levels with his delivery. He's a good athlete with a lot to build upon long term.

Jesse Rogers (2028 3B, Gulf Shores, AL) boomed one deep to the left center gap for a double. Anywhere else in left this may have left the park, it was a loud shot off the bat from a young 2028 great. He has some big time strength at impact and gets the head out front and extended. Big time corner infielder. 

Lanston Kent (2028 SS, Saltillo, MS) enticing arm with three pitches and very good entry on his FB that was into the low-80s consistently. Gets over the top very well and produced good run on it, flashed feel for both a curveball and changeup to his mix. Lots to like. 


20-Florida vs. 17-South Game Highlights

10/19/2024

Easton Tuley (2028 LHP, Abilene, TX) hurled 3 dominant frames with 2 strikeouts throughout his outing. Fastball worked in the upper-70s with late tail. He created tough angles and sequenced well. Curve showed healthy 1-7 shape with depth and has the makings to become a really good offering. Also mixed in a change. 

Hunter Wieckowski (2027 RHP, Orlando, FL) went 3 shutout frames on 4 strikeouts. Fastball worked up to 88 and lived around there all throughout. Showcased a quality 4-pitch mix throughout his outing and sequenced everything well.

Benjamin Terry (2028 SS, Corpus Christi, TX) worked up to 83 from a live arm. Worked quick through his lone inning of work and also flashed a good looking breaker that really falls off the table. 

Charlie Heard (2027 C, The Woodlands, TX) had a loud booming double to the opposite field gap. Strong kid with big strength in the hands. Has the bat speed to get it done and ball jumps off his bat. 

 

 

 


16-South Central vs. 14-California

10/19/2024

Max Feimster (2028 RHP, Santa Fe, TX) gets the game started with a loud triple into the backside gap. Good intent in the swing with some feel to lift and good speed to hustle out the extra-base hit. 

Brady Dalton (2028 RHP, Grove, OK) cruised through his first three innings on the mound to collect five strikeouts. He showed the fastball (2165 RPM) that was up to 82 and paired it with a bigger breaking curveball (1677 RPM) that was able to get some swing and miss. 

Martin Aiden Naranjo (2028 RHP, Winchester, CA) showed off the upside during his appearance on the mound running the fastball (2059 RPM) and paired it with a quality curveball (1528 RPM) that had good 11-5 shape with late horizontal bite. 

Logan Latier (2029 1B, Kansas City, MO) drove one into the backside gap for a loud two RBI double. Physical frame with strength present and a present feel to lift and carry the ball. 

Dalton Vandeburgh (2028 SS, Cottonwood, CA) comes up big for California in the bottom of the 4th sending a hard line drive into the backside that found its way to the wall for the go-ahead RBI double. Impacts the ball well with good backspin to get some carry off the barrel.

Max Feimster (2028 RHP, Santa Fe, TX) showed off a ton of upside to start the game for South Central. He went three innings to collect three strikeouts. Ran the fastball (1826 RPM) up to 84 and showed an 11-5 shaped curveball that broke out of the bottom of the strike zone. 

 

Worth Lundy (2027 SS, Columbia, SC) matched up against him for Southeast and competed through his three innings five strikeouts. He ran the fastball (2155 RPM) up to 83 and paired it with a slider (1900 RPM) that had sharp bite and tight spin. 

 

Jeyden Dejesus (2028 3B, Tampa, FL) got a hold of one and sends it to the base of the backside RF wall to plate an RBI. Physical frame with feel to lift and drive the ball to all fields. Collected two hits in game. Also showed some upside on the mound running the fastball up to 78. 

 

Ryder Holmstrom (2028 SS, Shawnee, KS) gets ahold of one and belts it into the left-center field gap for a two RBI triple to tie up the game. Creates leverage well with the barrel and uses a flatter bat plane. 

 

Dawson Burgess (2028 C, Thompsons Station, TN) gets this right down the third base line and shows off the wheels, legging out the double. Wide base that stays in sync with some quickness to the hands.

Cullen O’Brien (2027 RHP, Cincinnati, OH) showed out on both sides of the ball as he hurled 3 dominant frames on 4 strikeouts. He also torched a double to deep right showing a short and simple stroke with big impact out in front. 

 

Duncan Stevens (2027 C, Georgetown, KY) found himself a loud booming double to deep right in game action. He did a really nice job letting the ball travel as he went with it the other way. Strong kid with evident strength in frame. 


17-South vs. 18-Ohio Valley Game Highlights

Easton Tuley (2028 LHP, Abilene, TX) torched a big 2-run double the other way to get things rolling for South. He has a smooth lefty swing that does a nice job shortening up and getting on the barrel. 

 

Ayden Collier (2027 OF, Rosenberg, TX) showed out on both sides of the ball in game action. He threw a runner out at home from center and proceeded to torch a double to right in his next ab. 

 

Truett Allen (2027 3B, Houston, TX) clobbered a loud 2-run double to right in game action. Strong kid with a powerful swing who had a solid round of BP and took that into game action. 

 

Maximo Gutierrez (2028 C, San Antonio, TX) found a barrel in game action sending a double out to right. Controls the levers well with plenty of feel for the barrel. 


2024 HS All State Select Champ 27/28 Grad Batting Practice Highlights

Casey Prieto (2027 RHP, Paso Robles, CA) very sound, confident round with ability to get the head out in space. Very quick swing with promising impact off the bat. 

Logan Mull (2027 C, San Jose, CA) huge power potential flashed in round with some serious bat speed and strength off the bat. Has bad intentions in the box and uses both halves. 

Noah Verkaik (2027 1B, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) awfully loud round with juice and power that played to both gaps. The pull side impact was simply loud and it translated.

Micah Mecucci (2028 OF, San Marcos, CA) clean swing path and adjustable in the box. Has a good set of hands and has quick wrists through the zone for his age. 

Travis Wallace (2027 3B, Cumming, GA) three bombs that capped off simply a loud round in all facets. Huge pull side power and juice that he is only starting to tap into. Blend of real bat speed and strength. 

Ryan Morgan (2027 C, Corpus Christi, TX) very good round and polished all fields contact for age. Sound approach to both gaps but can really spray it in space. 

Ayden Collier (2027 OF, Rosenberg, TX) loud left-handed juice with backspin and carry from uphill path. Lifts out front and has serious strength at impact. 

Truett Allen (2027 3B, Houston, TX) very sound hitterish look and feel for the barrel stood out. Quick, loose hands with some lag through the zone. 

Cullen O’Brien (2027 RHP, Cincinnati, OH) good round with consistent contact that stood out in his group. Can get the head out to both gaps, sound middle approach with fast hands. 

BC Stoddard (2028 RHP, Biloxi, MS) big time round as well with good loose hand speed and budding pop. Works the barrel quick through the zone and gets on time. 

Eisler Piloto (2028 3B, Miami Gardens, FL) awfully loud showing here for age with blend of hit and power that projects big. Loud bat speed and ample hand strength. Viscious hacks and doesn't get cheated. 

Carlos Luis Cruz (2027 SS, Oviedo, FL) another eye opening round with ability to get the head otu at impact. Very sound all fields approach that should only mature. 

Luis Carlos Cruz (2027 C, Oviedo, FL) sound round to all fields, works short to long with a quick twitch swing that meets bat to ball awfully well. Good contact skills. 

Cullen Scott (2028 3B, Melissa, TX) physical with real impact for age and stayed through the middle of the field. All fields power with loud power from a clean swing path. 

Tyler Carlson (2027 OF, Savage, MN) can leverage the barrel out front with ability to put on the brakes. Loud power that played to the pull side gap. Loads of speed and hand strength in this bat. 

Parker Robinson (2027 SS, Schererville, IN) awfully sound and polished in the box, great poise and loose wrists through contact. A strong top hand with great barrel control. 

Dominic Naylor (2027 SS, Cedar Park, TX) loud power showing to the deepest parts of center field. Has explosive bat speed and gets into juice often. Loads of impact and intent gaining ground force. 

Haydenn Downes (2027 OF, Douglasville, GA) huge juice and clean path getting into his back hips well. Coils hard and gets unloads through the zone. Very vicious bat speed. 

Wright Broadhead (2027 3B, Winchester, VA) blend of real hit and power to all fields. Can go the other way with power and turn and burn to the pull side, loose wrists and does damage.

Weston Sykes (2027 SS, Summerfield, NC) great feel to all fields and employs a sound approach. Easy swing with extension out front, coming into some real budding power.

Casey Prieto (2027 RHP, Paso Robles, CA) barreled a single through the left side. Got the barrel out front to pull a fastball. Good intent in the swing with some feel to get bat-on-ball. 

 

Logan Mull (2027 C, San Jose, CA) got the barrel around on one and ripped a double into pull-side left field. Creates backspin and drove it deep to the pull-side with some carry. Good intent and some feel for the barrel. 

 

Tristan Wolfe (2028 RHP, Poway, CA) showed off the upside on the mound working three innings. Ran the fastball (1813 RPM) up to 78 and paired it with a sharp 11-5 shaped curveball (1858 RPM) that had great depth. 

 

Mayan De Nava (2027 SS, Riverside, CA) showed off the fastball (1841 RPM) during his relief appearance running it up to 80. Also mixed in a big curveball (2247 RPM) with big depth and 11-5 shape that was upper-60s to 70. 

 

Drew Steinemann (2028 C, Marietta, GA) RBI single down the backside line. Worked an at-bat and was able to hit behind the runner to do a job. Stayed in a good hitting position with a hard uncoiling and some bat speed.
