Naylor was another impact two-way player for Team Texas. Started with a loud BP round where took some violent hacks that showed some serious bat speed that translated in-game with a couple hard knocks. Then it was his performance on the mound where he struck out six in two innings where he used a strong three pitch mix. Showed a mid-upper 80s fastball that played firm, a low 80s changeup with quality fading action and a slider with some late bite.

Parker Robinson  SS - 2027 - Schererville, IN

Robinson put together a strong weekend in all facets. The 6-foot-4, 195 pound INF ran a 7.05 60-yd dash and showed real actions on the dirt. Showed the footwork, quickness, glovework and arm talent to stick on the left side of the INF. At the plate, his strength/physicality translated to some bat-speed/impact where he drove multiple balls through the gaps within a relatively simple swing operation. He also jumped on the mound where he uses a low-effort delivery where he ran his fastball up to 82 and landed a couple low 70s developing SLs with developing shape.

Was an all-out baller at the showcase putting up some big metrics across the board. He topped 89 mph on the mound with the fastball and mixed in a change-up at 77 mph. High intensity down the slope with a quick arm. From the Outfield he worked nicely through the baseball and let it rip out of the hand at 93 mph. In the box he produced some big numbers as well flashing a 93 mph exit velocity, displaying himself as a duel threat.

Shows a loose and fast arm where he gets down the mound with noticeable intent and creates good extension at release. His fastball got up to 89 in his outing, living mid 80s and mixed in an effective low 70s slurvy breaker.

Haydenn Downes  OF - 2027 - Douglasville, GA

Downes moved athletically to and through the ball in the outfield. The ball came out of his hand with exceptional carry on a line through his intended target at 80 mph. Downes produced an exit velocity of 87. In his BP round, he flashed hard line drives to all fields with good carry behind it. His swing is fluent with rhythm and consistent with his mechanics and his barrel path.

Posted an impressive 1.97 pop time behind the plate. Gets out of the crouch quickly and gets rid of the baseball. He posted a 90 mph exit velocity offensively. His barrel path was direct and he made an impact with bat his plus bat speed. Line drive-oriented hitter with a good feel for barrel control.

Ayden Collier  OF - 2027 - Rosenberg, TX

Big time two-way showing from Collier and the left-handed ability stood out. Easy mid-80s arm on the hill with feel to spin. Good athlete with serious lefty juice that showed in BP and in game with loud extra-base hits to the pull side. Big impact.

At the plate, he shows a smooth left-handed stroke where he throws an uphill barrel with some quality bat speed and length through the middle of the field. He works exclusively from the stretch where he shows a compact arm action that ran his fastball up to 83. Garcia was one of the better overall SS’s our staff saw this weekend. Starts with his present athleticism which he showed with his 6.90 60-yd dash and with his defensive actions on the dirt where he displayed light/quick feet and a strong arm across (90 mph). At the plate, he exhibited some quality bat/hand speed which helped him produce some solid impact off the barrel. He stayed through the middle of the field during his BP round that translated into gameplay with a hard LD knock back up the box.

He stays behind the baseball well where his hands stay work tight/inside and deliver the barrel on a level plane through.

During the defensive workout, he topped 85 mph and displayed a good feel for both positions. He posted an impressive exit velocity of 98 mph. A very explosive hitter with power upside.

Matiss Tyree  RHP - 2027 - Kalamazoo, MI

Tyree showed a ton of upside on the mound while also performing in his outing to the tune of two shutout innings where he struck out four. It’s a projectable 6-foot-4, 170 pound frame. His fastball worked into the low 80s, T82 that exhibited some natural running action. Also landed several low 70s sliders that had strong/late depth and produced a couple RHH whiffs.

Dylan Verdi  C - 2027 - Jefferson, GA

Verdi is a dynamic player who can play multiple positions at a high level. He showed exceptional command of the fastball and nicely tunneled the slider off it. He fields with intent in the infield and displays plus arm strength at 85 mph across the diamond. Verdi even stood out behind the plate, flashing a 2.01 pop time, quickly getting rid of the ball and keeping the throws low. Verdi swung with intent at the plate and connected on balls consistently through his round.

Impressed off the bump with a quality 4-pitch mix that projects really well. Fastball worked up to 88 from a quick arm with late tail. Tight slider 73-76 with late biting sweep/tilt. Flashed a curve with more top to bottom shape and depth. Could mix in a change as well with drop and fade. Highly projectable with the makings of a big-time arm.


2028 Top Prospects

Walter Unruh  OF - 2028 - Kingsburg, CA

Impressed all weekend with a high power/speed combo ceiling. The right-handed hitter showed some young bat speed here and good strength at impact. Went to deep center and to pull with authority. Also posted an event best 6.86 sixty yard dash time.

David Pruitt  1B - 2028 - Tallapoosa, GA

Pruitt is a physical guy on the mound with a heavy fastball at 85 mph (2102 RPM). He sequenced in a slider at 73 mph (1889 RPM). He worked down the slope well and displayed a quick arm. He played both first base as well as the middle infield for the defensive workout and touched 81 mph. He has a feel for footwork around the bag at first and he moved well laterally in the middle infield. Pruitt went big fly during the showcase, displaying his strength and power projection.

Graham Stockton  SS - 2028 - Gallatin, TN

Was up to 85 from the outfield and 81 from the infield. Showed fluid actions from the infield and made plays to his left and right with range. Looked the part in game action out at short as well.

Max Feimster  RHP - 2028 - Santa Fe, TX

Feimster is ultra physical for age, was 88 and 87 mph from OF and IF with big arm strength. Ran it up to mid-80s on the hill and strength really showed in his right-handed bat.

Saxon Smith  OF - 2028 - Lucas, TX

Twitchy athlete who go it done on both sides. Ran a 7.13 for age and was 82 mph across at short with smooth set of hands. Low-80s arm on the hill and competes, level swing with quick hands in BP and game.

Benjamin Terry  SS - 2028 - Corpus Christi, TX

Awfully impressive performance for age. Ran a good sixty and was 88/84 from IF and OF with quality actions behind plate too. Worked in low-80s fastball with pace and is a high end athlete amongst his crop.

Cullen Scott  3B - 2028 - Melissa, TX

Scott put together a solid two-way weekend. In the INF, showed quality actions especially going to the backhand side while also displaying a strong arm (89 across). At the plate, it’s a line drive oriented approach where he flashed some quality impact the other way. Then on the mound, he ran it up to 86 with the fastball and flashed a couple low-mid 70s breakers that had some late bite. Projectable profile with a ton in the tank.

Micah Mecucci  OF - 2028 - San Marcos, CA

Showed off the athleticism all weekend. In the box had a loud round of BP and produced an exit velocity of 97. Pull-side approach that stays in rhythm and fires the back half well. Collected two pull-side doubles during game action.

Thomas Piscorik  SS - 2028 - Raleigh, NC

Piscorik is displayed great athleticism at the showcase. He moves well around the infield and makes all of his plays cleanly. He repeated his mechanics well and displayed some solid arm strength at 84 mph across the field. Thomas was a gap-to-gap hitter in his BP round flashing line drives to all fields. Excellent bat speed is being produced with a direct barrel path.

Kane Bartley  RHP - 2028 - El Cajon, CA

Impressed on the mound all weekend. The right-handed pitcher ran the fastball (1926 RPM) up to 83 with short run to it. Paired it with a vertical curveball (1588 RPM) with gradual depth to it. Young arm talent with plenty of velocity to project on.

Jeyden Dejesus  3B - 2028 - Tampa, FL

Showed off the ability to impact the ball hard all weekend highlighted by a loud backside double to the base of the right field wall. Physical frame with feel to lift and drive the ball to all fields. Collected two hits in game action. Also showed some upside on the mound running the fastball up to 78.

Ashton Fricks  RHP - 2028 - Pikeville, NC

Fricks had a solid outing on the mound displaying a fastball with jumping action through the zone at 83 mph (1821 RPM) and a nicely paired change-up at 78 mph (1299 RPM). He has a plus change-up for his age with good fade. He moved around athletically in the infield and outfield, working quickly to and through the ball in both positions. During his BP round, he flashed some solid liners through the gaps.

Thomas Giro  C - 2028 - Coral Gables, FL

Had a loud round of BP and was able to bring it over to game action. The left-handed hitter uses a strong lower half with some carry on the ball flight. Produced an exit velocity of 90. Put a nice swing together for a backside double in games.

Jaxon Herod  SS - 2028 - Etta, MS

Was up to 84 from the infield and showed fluid actions throughout the weekend. Works around the ball well with good lateral range and good hands. Also had a good round of BP with a smooth lefty swing and feel for the barrel stood out. Produced and exit velo of 84. Also ran a 7.26 sixty.

Eisler Piloto  3B - 2028 - Miami Gardens, FL

Had a loud BP as a switch hitter and produced an exit velo of 85. Is physical in the box with evident strength in frame. Has a smooth lefty swing and went yard in BP with multiple barrels to the wall from the left side. Showed promising power potential from both sides of the plate.

Jesse Rogers  3B - 2028 - Gulf Shores, AL

Produced an exit velo of 88 off the barrel and had a powerful round of BP. Has a loose path through the zone swinging a heavy stick with big strength at impact and swings with intent. Carried over his BP into game action and hit a double to the gap.

Hudson Salyers  OF - 2028 - Weatherford, TX

Salyers was another two-way player who had a loud weekend both in the showcase portion and during gameplay. Ran a 6.94 60-yd dash and showed athletic actions in the OF. At the plate, collected three hits all to a different part of the field where it’s a simple LH stroke with minimal waisted moves. His hands work quick in throwing the barrel on a flatter path through the zone. Also jumped on the mound and showed an athletic operation with a low 80s FB that proved hard to barrel.

Nicholas Snow  2B - 2028 - Cabot, AR

Snow ran it up to low-80s on the hill and is simply a gamer on both sides. Quality athlete who can play all over for his age and recorded an 87 mph exit velocity with great in-game swings.

Weston Todd  3B - 2028 - Athens, AL

Worked up to 85 off the bump with good running action from a low 3/4 slot. Showed really good feel for his slider that he could land in the zone as well. Fastball and slider play off each other well and should only get better.

Dalton Vandeburgh  SS - 2028 - Cottonwood, CA

Showed off the bat-to-ball skills all weekend and the willingness to use the whole field. Showed some feel for the barrel during his round of BP and peppered line drives back up the middle. Collected a backside double during game action.

Ethan York  LHP - 2028 - Alvaton, KY

Was up to 83 off the bump as a lefty. Fastball showed good late running life to it and was located well. Slider showed good young spin traits and should continue to get better.
