2012 Top Prospects

Loose, projectable athlete. Ran a 6.91 sixty and showed excellent defensive tools at SS. Raw at the plate but has bat speed and strength. Topped at 88 on the mound with easy arm action and fastball life.

Good athlete with very easy arm strength. 90 mph fastball was best velo of showcase. Very good curveball with 11/5 break and changeup. 91 mph velocity from outfield, line drive swing at the plate.

High-level defensive catcher. 80 mph velocity and 1.96 pop were both among best of day. Easy, line drive swing with lots of bat speed. 100 mph exit velocity on one line drive. Excellent receiving skills behind the plate during games.

Lean, athletic pitcher with an arm that works very well. Topped his fastball at 87 and repeats his clean mechanics well. Slurvy curveball at 74 is a developing secondary offering. Projects to gain velocity in future.

Left-hander with good feel for pitching. Present velocity up to 85 with deception and balance in his delivery. Very good feel fro big 1/7 curveball at 67. Very impressive three innings of work Saturday.

Medium build pitcher with very good present pitchability. Pounded the zone with a fastball that topped at 84, a late-breaking curveball at 71 and a changeup at 76. Easy mechanics with some deception.
