2027 Top Prospects

Derek Hughes  SS - 2027 - Beaver, PA
Uncommitted

Hughes showed out with the glove during defensive drills, recording 82 mph throws across the diamond, using an on-time internal clock and smooth hands to put together a good round. On the mound, he showcased a FB up to 76 and a cutter-like breaking ball, pounding the zone with both offerings. At the plate, he used a compact line drive stroke to find the barrel often.


2028 Top Prospects

Cam Rakaczewski  SS - 2028 - Greencastle, PA

Rakaczewski put together a strong showcase across the board, recording an impressive 88 mph exit velocity, as well as throwing up to 88 mph on the infield. He possesses a lean and projectable frame, with tons of arm speed and soft hands defensively. On the mound, Rakaczewski got the FB up to 84 with a ton of arm-side run, along with a trio (CB, SL, CH) of quality secondaries.

Cole Tucholski  1B - 2028 - Quakertown, PA

Tucholski produced a strong showing in multiple aspects of his game, recording an 82 mph exit velocity, thanks to a quick barrel through the zone with pull-side juice. In the outfield, he worked with a projectable build and clean arm action, posting an 80 mph velocity from right. Tucholski also used a three-pitch mix on the mound, running the heater up to 81 while using an advanced slider/change-up combination.

Joshua Diaz  3B - 2028 - Staten Island, NY

Diaz found a way to be productive in all aspects of his game, showcasing an advanced set of tools. He recorded an infield velocity of 88 mph, as well as reaching 84 with his FB on the mound. Diaz also used a slider with feel to spin and land for strikes. On the dirt, Diaz showed soft hands and range from a strong build, showing arm speed.

James Gaven  3B - 2028 - Madison, NJ

Gaven put together two clean rounds of defensive workouts, posting an 81 mph throwing velocity from the outfield, using his athletic build and first-step quickness. On the mound, Gaven got up to 79 with the fastball, living in the zone with the heater and a pair of high-60s secondaries (CB, CH).

Gianni Heidenberg  OF - 2028 - Laurel, MD

Heidenberg turned in a great round of outfield workouts, using a compact frame to show clean and efficient actions, recording 81 mph from right. On the hill, Heidenberg uses a two-pitch mix, including a FB up to 70 and a slurvy breaking ball in the low-60s. Also recorded an 81 mph exit velocity with the bat.

Keith Pimentel  SS - 2028 - Brooklyn, NY

Pimentel threw strikes with both of his offerings over a relief appearance last weekend, He got the FB up to 73, with some arm side shape and a CB that was landed for strikes in the low-60s. Pimentel also turned in a strong round of infield workouts, using clean actions from a medium, controlled frame.

Caleb Tesfaye  1B - 2028 - Collegeville, PA

Tesfaye showcased advanced ability from multiple positions, including the outfield where he recorded a 79 mph velocity, using his lengthy build and quick arm. Put together a strong round of BP, peppering both gaps with line drives consistently.
